But his idea of starting it in January is pretty good. Maybe FOX will try that out.

"24" will return with a new cast (some old favorites might return in different roles)

Other than that who has lived to be able to return? Kim, Mike Novick, the Logans & Aaron Pierce. Not exactly a deep pool to pull from. Mandy lived right? I wouldn't mind her showing up again.

Isn't Kate (S2) still alive? Also that aide to President Palmer, Lynne Kresge, from S2 is supposed still alive after being chucked down the staircase. Or how about Alberta Green from S2?

Unfortunately(or fortunately since I'm a fan of Friday Night Lights) Connie Britton is a little busy right now as Mrs. Coach.

D'oh! You're right. Season 4 was the terrible cocaine/bio-warefare kid nonsense that meant squat by the end of the day.

Season 4 is almost as bad as 6? I have to disagree! Season 4 had all of our favorite characters ALIVE and making great returns, a worthy Big Bad (Marwan), some interesting new characters (the Araz family), adrenaline-pumping action sequences and a happy ending (my favorite end to any season)! Sure it has some bad moments (and storylines), but overall I'd much rather watch the entire season again rather than even 1 ep from season 6. At least, that's my 2 cents.

I say Season 4 is second to last. But after this year, allow me to be the first one to say, "Come back Season 4. All is forgiven."
One thing I can say about Season 4 - it was never dull. (Unlike, ahem, well... you know.)

But during its current sixth season, "24" has drawn criticism from fans about losing some of its creative footing.
Gordon said he felt those assessments were "unfair." "On balance, it was a very successful season," he said.
