Woohoo!! Looks like the Class may be the one leaving, with renewals for HIMYM, Christine, and Rules of Engagement (I don't mind that show). But woohoo for HIMYM!!! AWESOME!

Woot!!!
I'm guilty of not watching the show on broadcast, but I've fallen in love with it via the DVDs... I'll have to Tivo season three, until I can catch up through the DVs

I really hope this is true, as HIMYM is a great show that deserves more attention. Perhaps we'll finally meet the mother next season. And I'm delighted that Old Christine may make it as well, which I really wasn't expecting.

Well I don't like How i met your mother but I'm glad its being renewed for people that like the show, Glad to see New/Christine will probally get renewed because in my opinion after the King of Queens ends its 9 season run, it will be the only good comedy on CBS next to CSI: Miami.

I can't stand new adventures. Evey interview I've seen and everything she has been in since Seinfeld she has not been funny. I actually cringe when I see her now. I want to like her but I can't.

Great news. HIMYM is one of the current favorite shows. But I suppose that I would have been just as glad to see that Barney get transferred to another show since he makes the show for me.

IF Robin doesn't end up being Ted's wife, don't you think the show has gone away from it's original premise ? Not saying that's a bad thing, but the show may need renaming.

In fact, if the show ends up just leading up to Ted *meeting* his future wife (and not actually showing the courtship, ect.) that would live up to the show's title, even though it may annoy longtime fans looking for more.

They made clear from the very start that Robin was not Ted's wife.
However, I think it would be hilarious if it was all a ruse and Ted just wanted to get his kids to listen to all the awesome stories of his life. I'm past really caring about "the mystery" of the mother and just enjoy the show for what it is.

I can take or leave HIMYM and I can't stand Christine, but I am glad about Rules of Engagement. That show picked up steam from week to week and ended up being one of the better sitcoms on tv (after the Thursday night NBC stuff, which are a little higher-level than traditional sitcoms). I don't think any of these three renewed shows touches King of Queens in its prime though.

This is exactly what I thought should happen as well. I bet "Aunt Robin" is all a ruse.

yeah, i have always had a problem with the whole 'robin isn't the mother' thing. it just doesn't seem practical to start a series with a female lead knowing that in a season or two you will have to get rid of her because she isn't the mother.

At least they gave up on the concept of the dad and kids beginning/ending each episode early on. They still run with it as if he's telling a story, but really why would a guy want to tell his kids about his (sometimes sexual) exploits with someone that he asserts is now their "aunt robin?" I'm sure mom is really pleased about that.
