I find it funny how the mass genocide in this episode gets looked over, but the possible harm to a bunny is crossing the line.

There must be another reference to the four-toed statue before this season is finished. Another vote for alternate realities. Maybe Jacob only has four toes...
Wonder how Jacob summoned Ben before? Telepathy? Why would Jacob need Locke's help? Something that Ben couldn't provide but John could?
Why was Ben's Mom hiking in her 7th month of pregnancy? Where did Ben spend the first 10 years of his life if not on the island? It looked like the people who stopped to help gave each other an odd glance like they worked with Dharma/Mittelos. At the very least, they kept watch on them until Ben was 10 (or so).
Hope we find out about Ben's girl friend on the island. She would be 40-ish too. I can't imagine Ben not telling her to put on a gas mask at 4:00, knowing she would die in the purge.

Obviously I have nothing backing that up, and I'm certainly not bailing if he does die, but I just think it's a terribly unnecessary risk to piss off some of the viewers they do have like d2cheer.

12th Monkey,
are you implying that Jesus threw a shitfit because Locke blasted him with a flashlight. Not that the picture doesn't closely resemble Him (or Locke w/ hair, or Hanso, or Jack's dad) but it doesn't really make sense.

Thoughts:
Jacob is made invisible by the same things that makes the island invisible. This could either be through technology or something else (mind powers...)
Ben didn't intend to kill Locke. He may have purposely shot him so that he'd survive. Maybe the whole thing was for show.
Dharma doesn't know that the hostiles have taken over. Unlikely, but possible.
There had to be government involvement or at least a substantially rich person behind Dharma. My guess is that the hostiles are equally well connected.

The people who found Ben and Roger were from Dharma. They mention in the show "he's the one that found us the day your mom died."

I don't think ABC would just happily let an actor walk if they thought it meant their ratings. In a way, I think you could argue that it did mean their ratings, too. The Eko death seemed to me to be what really ticked off a lot of the folks who are no longer watching, if we can judge that by the folks I know.

Just going back to the Jacob thing for a moment, I think the purpose of that close up shot of his eye is to discount that Jacob is either Ben or Locke, because both their eye colours are light, and Jacob's was distinctly dark brown.

Interesting theory.
Looks like Layne Staley from Alice in Chains.

What about a Final Destination type theory for whats going on? Maybe somebody is seeing this all happening before it does.

And about whether the Others have anything to do with Dharma....remember back to last season, when Jack and Sawyer went to get Michael or somebody, and Tom (Mr. Friendly at the time) confronted them while holding Kate with a bag over her head? Tom said something along the lines of, "A great man once said...blah blah blah..." - that was a quote from Alvar Hanso from the Hanso Foundation website. So if the Others were all anti-Dharma/Hanso, he wouldn't be quoting the man himself, would he?
