Charles Barkley needs a talk show

His analysis on TNT are hilarious. I could only imagine what he'd say in an hour talking to Lindsey Lohan or someone.

Examples of what he says? Is there a Barkley watch website or something?

I followed basketball in the early 80's and stopped around when Jordan, Barkley, Karl Malone retired. I always enjoyed his interviews after the games, etc.

"We don't need refs, but I guess white guys need something to do."

"My family got all over me because they said Bush is only for the rich people. Then I reminded them, 'Hey, I'm rich'."

"If somebody hits you with an object you should beat the hell out of them."

and of course:

"Kids are great. That's one of the best things about our business, all the kids you get to meet. It's a shame they have to grow up to be regular people and come to the games and call you names."

A weekly show might be enough. Daily would spread him too thin.

But yeah, I'd watch a weekly interview show with Charles, but would he care to do it?

For those who don't know, Barkley was once arrested for throwing a man through a plate glass window after the man threw a glass of ice at him. The police report claims that Barkley then walked over to the man and said, "For all I care, you can lay there and die." Commenting later on his only regret of the incident, Barkley quipped, "I regret we weren't on a higher floor."

I think Barkley is very entertaining. But I also think John McEnroe is very entertaining, and I guess that show was kind of a disaster. Anyhow, I'm confident that a Barkley talk show would be much better than "The Magic Hour" or "Home Team with Terry Bradshaw."

I think Charles knows this better than most. Which is why he turns down those offers. Remember he was offered the Monday Night Football color commentator job and he turned that down as well.

His top 5 commercials with Duane Wade are hysterical! I would watch a show with Charles Barkley. Maybe not a talk show, but some other format where he could just go off on what he wants.

Of course. He's black, so it's OK to be racist.

Imagine if someone said "we don't need basketball, but I guess black guys need something to do."

If he is racist, then it is O.K. because he is black and it is more socially acceptable for black people to be prejudiced against white people. If Charles did say this, I really hope it was during a game. That would make it infinitely more funny for me (a white guy).

He had a weekly TNT show - Listen Up! Charles Barkley with Ernie Johnson. It had its moments but has not great. It tired to be like Inside the NBA but about other non NBA stuff.
