So Rena Sofer appeared on BOTH coast in the same 9 o'clock hour. She was hardly in this though at least compared to her minimal appearance on 24. To places at once, maybe she's a "hero" too.

So, was that the same little girl Parkman found under the stairs at the beginning of the season?
Also, when did Sylar get Iceman's power? I know he had it at the beginning too, but i was wondering if its ever been mentioned.

Mohinder is basically the "Gilligan" of the show. His only purpose seems to be to make blunder after blunder in order to slow the progress of the protagonists.
Good catch on the "Walker Tracking System".

When we first (his chronology) met Sylar in the flashback episode, he tested positive for the super gene, but displayed no powers. The senior Dr. Suresh thought he had mis-diagnosed Sylar, and that drove Sylar over the edge. Last night's episode gave us a hint into why it did so -- Sylar was finally "special" for a brief moment, and then Suresh tried to take it away from him.
Anyway, at the end of the flashback episode, we see Sylar meeting with a guy who has telekenetic powers -- the implication is that he's going to eat telekenetic guy's brain.
The next (his chronology) time we see Sylar (or his handiwork, anyway) is in the first episode, where Parkman finds Molly Walker hiding under the stairs. Her parents have been killed -- her mother is pinned to the wall with knives (no doubt done by Sylar with telekenesis) and her father is frozen with the top of his head cut off.

I think Sylar got the freezing powers before his visit to the Walkers' house. Mr. Walker was frozen in mid-bite, iirc. Hardly the kind of pose one would have if their head was being cut open.
Ironically, then, he went nuts on his mother for the exact opposite reason. He just wanted her to tell them he could be normal and that it would be ok to "just" be a watchmaker, but she just couldn't do that.
I love Sylar even more now since we got to see his mom and get to imagine how he was raised. His opinion or desires ever mattering or making the slightest difference (tuna sandwich).

I read the EW article about the second season and it looks interesting.
So, does Sylar's mom had any power? did she say "You've become one of them"? I think I heard that.

But then how could Hiro fix it? That would have been a really cool thing to do. Not forgetting about his powers brings a great solidarity to the show - like him hearing the heartbeats last night (but not the whispering...?).

If that's the case (and I really am guessing about that) then Sylar would've been drawn into Hiro's time reference when Hiro touched him with the sword - at which point Sylar moving would then screw Hiro's concentration and time would revert to normal (and mom splats on the floor).
Hasn't Hiro moved people before? In the episode where D.L. takes Mica, there was a car accident. When D.L. goes to save the little girl that was in the car, the car starts to explode. This is where Hiro freezes time to save them. If I recall, Hiro moves all of the people while they are frozen to the side of the road. They did not unfreeze until Hiro goes back to stand next to Ando and resumes time.
