No, actually we see his mother starting to fall again just as Sylar starts moving.

Wasn't she still frozen as she fell? She was already leaning foward.

From: Rainy ass Seattle yes the weather sucks here, so do our sports teams.
To the time freeze thing, it seems pretty obvious that Hiro lost his concentration, I mean he didn't want to be there in the first place, he didn't/wasn't ready to kill Sylar, he is not confrontational, he doesn't want to be like his future self, he was scared shitless all those things make you lose your concentration.

I loved this episode the intensity was crazy.
The scenes with Molly had me a little choked up, but it was a great scene between her and Surish. I am glad they didn't abandon/forget about (cough cough Lost) that storyline.

Real talk.
I couldn't agree more.

What a great character, I don't know what the shows plans are with his character but I hope he stays around for a long time, and Zachary Quinto, props to you man, you are an awesome actor. I hope this guy gets loads of work and has a great career.

Well, they could always bring him back to 24 and kill him four eps into the season. Or midway. Or four eps before the season finale.

If Hiro lost his concentration it was because Sylar's eye god damned moved to focus on him while everything was frozen. That'd sure shake me even further in that state.

Is it possible that if Hiro touches something "frozen" that it becomes a part of his timeframe? He's moved things in the past, but if they were time-frozen, he would fry them from the sudden friction, so they temporarily shift to his reference? If that's the case (and I really am guessing about that) then Sylar would've been drawn into Hiro's time reference when Hiro touched him with the sword - at which point Sylar moving would then screw Hiro's concentration and time would revert to normal (and mom splats on the floor).

I think you're right. Didn't Future Hiro say something about not being able to kill while time is stopped? Or it doesn't work that way or something?

While it still was fun watching I agree that it was

OK I tried.

The exploding man is just like "Damage" from DC Comics:

1. He has the power to release energy from his body and blow things up
2. He accidentally blew up half of downtown Atlanta

Only a good episode. Not as good as recent weeks, but it was putting all the pieces in place for the final two episodes so you can't really complain.

I heard Jack Bauer is gonna be on Heroes and kill Sylar. Is that true? It can't be though, cause he's gonna be on 24 atthe same time.

that makes the most sense. Sylar's mom was still frozen when Sylar moved.

I don't think she changes shape. She make people see what she wants them to see.

I'm still not sure Sylar eats the brains. Not literally. I don't think the little girl's interpretation is necessarily reliable. I'm sure absorbs them somehow, but chowing down on them? That whole bit might have been a wink to all the web speculation.

And I agree this is a great character and has a really great actor playing him.

Yeah, she's not Mystique, she's...dammit...comic knowledge failing me...someone who projects illusions (Mysterio? )

I thought that revelation was the most interesting thing about the episode. If they don't kill her off, I forsee her causing a lot of problems for our heroes.

Yeah it was a setup for the ones to come, but I still enjoyed it. It's great seeing everyone come together, hopefully for a true battle royale.

Several chapters back before "saving the cheerleader", Mohinder and Peter visited Isaac. Remember Peter was drawing "stick figure" versions of the future shortly thereafter?

Quite right. Didn't she already pull a similar stunt in Isaac's studio saying you see what she wants you to see?

It was certainly a filler episode compared to the last few, but I was to understand that these last three comprised a "3-parter" which this one initiates. I guess it is because it centers around Molly Walker who is officially introduced in this episode.

I'm an idiot to not catch that! The rub is that I'll bet Parkman and Ted Sprague don't realize that they're going to have to kill a little girl to stop it.

I don't think so. Logically, NBC is going to want to win that slot throughout sweeps. And several places show "Landslide" for 5/14 and "How to Stop an Exploding Man" for 5/21.

So Rena Sofer appeared on BOTH coast in the same 9 o'clock hour. She was hardly in this though at least compared to her minimal appearance on 24. To places at once, maybe she's a "hero" too.

Vampires on Smallville = Filler and no story progression

This episode was hardly filler. Great setup for the finale.

Did I miss something? When did Molly say Sylar eats brains?

For what it's worth, I've always assumed he's a brain eater...

She said the boogey man looks into your soul and eats your brain.
