I thought this one and last week's were both pretty decent episodes. At least, so far as I can remember, they didn't have anyone acting wildly and unbelievably out of character. The ending was interesting. If they hadn't already shown a non-flashback Penny, I would've liked to think that the new woman was the real Penny and that the island has screwed with Desmond's memory of her. At this point, I almost feel like the show has to eventually reveal that the island affects everyone's memories in some way, or else all the coincidences in the flashbacks are just unbelievably stupid.

I agree with the poster who said that Desmond might have to let Charlie die in order to move further along.

Why do people have such trouble with the spoiler rules. The episode in the title is the 4/18 episode. Any discussion relating to THIS CURRENT EPISODE DOES NOT GET SPOILER TAGS. It doesn't matter if the show hasn't aired yet for some people. If they don't want to see spoilers they don't go in the thread. Previews for next week, and spoilers about future episodes get spoiler tags.
Why is this so hard for people to understand?

Awesome ep. Our LOST drinking game was put to some serious stress with all of those 'brotha's getting thrown around tonight.
I'm surprised to hear people were disappointed with this episode. SOMEBODY FELL OUT OF THE BLOODY SKY! Sure it's not explaining anything, just adding more mystery... but that's Lost isn't it?
And there's something else going on with those tats (hopefully I'm wrong)... but there is either a new addition, they've been retouched, or they're being made a great deal easier to see (otherwise why would everybody be thinking they're new?)

Charlie needs to go, Desmond is a much more interesting character. If it takes Charlies death to move forward, so be it. Makes you wonder if Charlie should have been out of there when Ethan hung him. Why does everyone feel the need to "save" Charlie.

After giving it more thought, I think that Desmond needs not to let Charlie die, but just not save him. That's Abraham's test. Does Desmond have enough faith to stand by in the face of his death?
Also, why were none of the scenes shown in last week's preview in this week's episode? Those scenes were obviously from an upcoming episode, so I suppose the episode order was changed at some point.

I thought this ep was a big let down. I thought for sure someone of consequence would be "falling out of the sky," not some non-name girl.
And isn't there enough to write about than which guy Kate is in love with? And who she is jealous of? And if Jack likes Kate or Juliet? [Gob] C'mon! [/Gob]
I did like Sawyer's line, "Talking about who's your favorite 'Other?'"

I'm guessing the new girl may not know Desmond personally, but she was hired by Penelope to find him (much like the two guys we saw at the end of Season 2).

I believe she was sent by Penny to find Desmond. I also believe that she will play a part in setting off some chain of events that will cause more people to come to the island. I'm thinking that there will be people coming to the island for different reasons. I read somewhere that she will be a character that appears on the show for at least the remainder of this season. Ardil-22 is "Catch-22" in Portuguese. I'm thinking along the lines that she is working with the Portuguese gentleman who were monitoring the earth for a disturbance in "the force" in an attempt to find Desmond's location. I guess we will have to wait and see.

The guys at the end of last season were speaking Portuguese? And the Catch-22 book was in Portuguese? Seems pretty obvious then this new girl is working for Penny?

Anyone realize the girl that fell from the skies is Nessa from "Las Vegas" (Martha Thomason)? Her IMDB page has some spoilers (like character name, length of stay on the island).
