I think everyone's performances ranged from mediocre to bad last night. It would've helped if they hadn't pick so many damn Gloria Estefan songs. When I hear those, I think wedding singers. Come to think of it, isn't that what "Legs" Scarnato did in San Antonio before auditioning for the show?

You know you've got a lousy collection of singers when Sanjaya closes out the night and sounds a lot better than most of what preceded him.

Melinda - knows how to sing, no doubt about it, but she doesn't have the look of a star nor do I sense the "it" factor when I watch her. And the gosh golly thing does get old.

Lakisha - she honestly grosses me out when she tries to be sexy. I find nothing remotely attractive about big fat thick arms on a woman. She's a great lead for a church choir as long as she covers her skin from the neck down. She also comes off a bit cold in the personality department.

Chris - I thought he sounded like he was singing the song in the wrong key. I was shocked when all the judges were praising it. Paula obviously wants to invite him to her bedroom.

Phil - I have no thoughts one way or the other about him.

Haley - hot but that's about it. nothing really memorable singing wise.

Jordin - another of the fat girls that just doesn't do anything for me. seems like an average singer to me.

Blake - something about his voice is a bit unique, which is a good thing. i still think he has the best overall package(not THAT package lol) when it comes to future potential.

Sanjaya - ummmm.

Everythingf Sanjaya sang in spanish sounded good, everything in English, not so good. Weeks like this really hurt his chances to survive.

Is Melinda in AARP or what? She looks like she belongs in another show.
Great talent, but rough on the eyes.

Phil looks like he wants to leave. He's been scared shitless out there for weeks.

Haley isn't even pretending anymore, Simon called her out on her "methods" and she's like, yeah so? It's worked so far, I think it'll work again.

I think Lakisha may go down sooner than we think...

Melinda - I still love her, but she didn't really do well.

Lakisha - WOOF. I just can't get past those weird lips and the gap in her teeth. Add the quivering arms, backfat, and bad performance and I hope she leaves.

Chris - Not good and, as always, too nasally.

Phil - I didn't think it was too bad, although a little boring.

Haley - Terrible, but at least she's hot.

Jordin - Very good.

Blake - I like his voice and style.

Sanjaya - Surprisingly good. Still kind of creepy the way he looks at the camera though.

I agreed with your whole post, but the point about Estefan songs was one of my central comments too. I don't think anyone should ever sing one of her uptempo songs. Sure didn't work last night. I was especially disappointed that Jordin wasted herself on that song choice. Terrible waste.

I thought Melinda was really great again last night. She looked like Ella, so I guess that's a bad thing for the judges and most of the observers, but I thought it was a good look for her.

Enjoyed Blake too, but there was a lot of echo in his early vocal. I think they should not be supplemented/produced like that (although he needs it).

Lakisha is my least favorite performer, although not the worst. They all get a little familiar over time though.

Sanjaya has a real shot at winning this thing.

My bottom 3 are the following

1. Phil Stacey- He cracked massively twice during the song(I can't believe noone has mentioned it). Hes a nice guy.
2. Hayley Scarnato- If she looked liked Lakisha she would ahve been gone weeks ago
3.Lakisha Jones- BORING!!!! I don't even remember the performance...that's how bad it was.

Lakisha will be the first to be sent back. They will then have, the gorgeous J.LO come on and sing. Then some bantar between Cowell and Ryan.... and some "YO YO Dawgs" by Randy, and some "I'm proud of yous" by Paula. Then metrosexual will read the results, and say "with 33 million people voting......Hayley......have a seat your staying.....Phil I'm sorry its end of the road for you buddy".

In regards to the spoiler for next week, this was confirmed on the View yesterday. This person did the same thing with Canadian Idol last year.

I think that it is a real possibility that Lakisha and Melinda are going to be bottom three tonight. Regardless, Phil the Alien will go.

I agree that Phil's gone as of tonight, but I am soooooooo ready for Melinda to be given the boot... Her act is so tiresome, and that no-neck thing really bugs me.

Actually Lakisha's diva indifference to the judges and her public bothers me a whole lot more than Melinda's feign suprise.

I like Phil Stacey as a person. Hes seems like a really cool guy, and I get a good vibe with him. I didn't like his version, but its OK

Also, if LEGS isn't gone this week, don't look for her to be gone next week either. Its country week, and I bet she could pull that off pretty nicely!

Next week take a good look at Chris Richardson now. cause theres just an empty space, and the chances of him coming back next week, are against all odds, and that's what its got to take!!!!
