back in the day, i used to watch ZDTV then TechTV

it used to be good programming, then they started doing all that bullshit with Martin and the late nite psuedo porn shit (that's when you know they were a sinking ship)

when i first watched that G4 shit i was hoping for the day it went down the toilet. suprised it took this long...never set eyes on that channel in about 2 years now

i only liked when Leo/Kate/Megan&Cat/Patrick/Martin(pre-porn)Micaehla/Sumi/Jessica/Morgan/Kevin Rose/ even Perillo was on everybody else post that was booboo.

Leo got his syndicated show and his TechGuy thing going on his terms right now, so i don't think he gonna try jump back on some bullshit

it would be cool to see all the old cats back working together though

Olivia may be "hotter" (Strongly perfers Layla Kayleigh) but I agree that Sara was a kickass host and worked better off of Kevin.

Yes, Sara was her name. She was no Jessica Corbin but I thought she was a good host even though she did seem a little uncomfortable when it changed over to AOTS.

I used to watch Tech TV every day but don't watch G4 at all, unless I'm flipping through and something catches my eye (which is almost never). That Star Trek 2.0 has to be the single-most idiotic concept for TV programming ever.

Whats his face was cool. He was much better than you know who, but still not quite up to the level of that one guy who's on that show.

Good riddance, G4. The thing I hated (among many things) is when they changed "Icons" (maybe the one good show G4 actually had before the "merger") to focus on non-game subjects, such as Michelle Rodriguez.

The original programming of G4 suffers from time-sensitive content delivery issues.

ATOS is the only show that seems to keep up with the current net happenings and is a solid source for daily gaming/tech news as well as the new stuff on Youtube, Ebay, etc. and the occasional solid interview. The rest of the program is drivel though.

X-Play & Cheat! suffer from the exact same problem, ancient content. By the time they can cover a game, there are plenty of reviews available on the net as well as tons of info on Gamefaqs. I don't have a problem with the hosts, but they aren't particularly special either.

Cinematech is a solid idea, but it needs a sleeker incorporation between shows rather than in chunks. I'd be more impressed with Icons if they actually stuck to tech icons rather than moving into celebrities. The Block is MTV-inspired garbage.

G4 could have been much more successful if they offered content that wasn't readily available on the net. How about a show that offers entire video walkthroughs for Xbox 360 achievements? How about a weekly show with a roundtable discussion on the console wars? How about a Wii-based show that offers video walkthroughs on creating celebrity lookalike Mii's and covers the cool internet content being created for the Wii browser?

G4 has become a wasteland of tired material, general lack of new ideas and repeat upon repeats. They deserve to be consolidated into E!.

Because watching a show about 5 year old technology would be quite entertaining. Thanks, but no thanks. TechTV was good, but not that good.

G4 is one of the few channels I watch daily. I've gotta have my daily dose of AOTS and Ninja Warrior.

I didnt say you had to watch it. It's fun to watch old stuff sometimes. Like how their Ultimate Gaming Machine had an ultra powerful Pentium 3 and Voodoo 4000 featuring the all new AGP slot!! OMG!

I agree with your comments about Cheat and likeminded shows needing to get more timely, but your alternative suggestions would never fly in the current landscape. All of those ideas are fine for as one-off specials but you can't have regular programming like that...it's too niche, and because of that G4 would have serious problems attracting sponsors. That was the big problem with TechTV, they could never get the ratings or the advertising dollars, even when they were doing programs that people here (and myself) loved, like the ScreenSavers and Call For Help. Tech and video games are hard sells for on-air.

The topless pics were cropped before they were posted. What she didn't realize is that if you looked at the pics in Preview Mode (I think that's what it's called), you could see the full pic before cropping ....showing her in all her glory.

I guess this was/is an April fools joke, at least according to Kevin and Olivia who talked about it at the beginning of today's AOTS.
