Shit, I'd be happy for the result to be just having to be in a wheelchair after that.

Okay...

Spoiler:
We've seen Jack's and Claire's dad walking the island... and now we see Locke's dad in the "Magic Box"... is this the "Island of Lost Fathers"?

well, it seemed that Locke's father was fairly new to the island .. his injuries looked fresh, and why the need for the gag if they had him in that sealed room?

Awesome episode as per usual for Locke centered ones.

Not sure how I feel about the ending though. Will wait to see how it plays out a little. But if Sayid's girlfriend shows up in a couple of weeks, I'm throwing the tv out the window.

Great episode.

1. Find out why Locke was paralyzed.
2. Find out Ben was born on the Island, doesn't want to leave, doesn't want the others to leave--though they aren't keen on staying yet, doesn't want Jack to leave.
3. Locke's dad in the box at the end. Classic Lost WTF? moment.

Great episode! Added more depth to Locke's character, and it even had a very dark tone to the entire episode. This is the best string of episodes since season one. Season two had good episodes, just never constant.

Next week's episode looks even weirder.

An okay episode, but the characters speak in such frustrating bits of dialogue.

Good stuff. My question is...if the submarine was the only way to get off the island, what happened to Michael and Walt who left in a boat (unless of course the coordinates given to them by Ben were coordinates to the sub)

I didn't take it to mean the only way possible to get off the island was by sub, but that was the only option they had left. Remember Ben wanted Desmond's sailboat.

My assumption is
Spoiler:
Locke's dad is the "real" Sawyer.

Anyways, good stuff, although I saw the ending coming after Locke's incident. I guess that's Ben giving Locke his reward for putting him in a win-win situation.

Even though it was obvious Locke's dad was in the room when Ben was prepping him, it was still very much a WTF?!? moment when they revealed him. He looked a bit scared there.

So I'm guessing he magically wrecked his sailboat or plane on the island?

So is this the island of things that haunt your past? Locke and his father, Charlie and the drugs, Mr. Ecko and the plane....

I predict Vincent's backstory will show us what killed his mom...the VW van!

Anyway, great episode, I saw the ending coming but wasn't necessarily expecting him to be bound and gagged.
