I'm sure they're aware of Waiting to Exhale....at least Paula would be. SHe worked with Babyface and I'm sure she kows his catalog very well (which surprised me they gave so much credit to the chick that did that hiorrible rendition of Queen of the Night).
My wife and I commentd on how the black women had the killer voces this year and the other girls were weak in comparison....problem being other than the cute gil that went last, Lakeisha and Melinda have a older style that I don't think would have a great pop following. The last girl seems more marketable.
