I hope so. I'm hoping when they do replace Barker they take it as an opportunity to overhaul some stuff on the show, especially converting to HD.

It comes down to a footrace between Marc Summers and Jay Mohr in my book.

(Of course, they COULD just CGI old footage of Barker like they did to Tony Soprano's mother. )

I'm not sure anybody could replace Barker. My real question is what to do with the microphone? Keep the long skinny corded one for the host to drag all over the stage or go with a mic made after say 1980? I'm torn.

I dont think a version in a completely different timeslot and a host from a SOAP OPERA is a good example of how well a Barker-less Price is Right will do.
