Someone who gets kidnapped and or trapped in a cougar trap every 3 hours isn't worthy of inheriting a legacy. I wouldn't have mentioned her either.

It would have been funny to have the whiskey pour out the hole in his Morris's back when he was chugging it.

Thank god President Eviiiiiiiiil is back. If we're lucky, he'll be behind the plot to overthrow the current President.

Never thought I'd actually root for Logan, but this season's baddies have been so lame, we need someone to amp up the tension.

A DNA test would be the conclusive test to determine paternity. Unless Jack and his brother were really maternal twins, they would not have an exact DNA match. Science could determine the father between the siblings.

Blood tests would only exclude paternity. DNA testing is definitive.

Is it the consensus that if "Assassination Palmer redux" is successful, we will all be cheering?

We're nearing the 12-hr mark, so I'm hoping for some good to come out of the revival of the Logans (and maybe Aaron Pierce. Where the heck is he?), and try to turn this day around.

Hopefully bringing back another baddie won't result in a hasty death (ex. Nina Myers in Day 3)

Shouldn't he be in prison or something though?

Maybe he got immunity/pardon or is still awaiting trial.

BTW, was it ever explained how Palmer became President? I didn't think he was involved with politics...

Wayne was David's chief of staff when David was president.

Yeah, he looks better with the full beard. He also had that look in an episode of Firefly.

Tom went to him and asked him to run after Logan was taken down. He probably figured that Wayne would be a guaranteed win because of the Palmer name, but also an easy puppet.

Logan you rat-bastard!

I can't wait to see him return, he should've won an Emmy, without a doubt, last season. And I remember during the first few episodes of last season everyone was hating on him, then they find out he's one of the baddies and then every look he made and everything he did previously made sense. One of the best role-reversals on TV, imho.

I'm guessing that Aaron got himself reassigned to be on Martha Logan's detail, since they were hinting at romantic sparks last season.

While Itzen's performance was certainly great, he's still second in my book for supporting actor. Forest Whitaker should have won for his work on The Shield season 5. What an astounding performance. Much like Itzen, Whitaker's character didn't seem that great at the beginning, almost a ripoff of Goren from Law & Order Criminal Intent. After a few setup eps, though, everything took off. The scenes between Chiklis and Whitaker were some of the most intense TV I've ever seen.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

If Logan was "forced" to resign as President, shouldn't Vice President automatically step in as President? Like Ford did when Nixon resigned. If yes, isn't the new President supposed to serve 4 years and why is the show taken place over 1 1/2 years from Logan's resignation?

You are very very right about that. Whitaker was outstanding. I hope he returns for Season 6... or 5.5... or whatever they are calling it.

No, whoever stepped in for Logan would have just served out the remainder of Logan's term, who was already serving the remainder of Keeler's term.

Gerald Ford served from August 9, 1974 to January 20, 1977.
