Wednesday is a dilemna now

I've been watching Friday Night Lights and enjoying it from the start, but I know Versus is showing the Survivor Guatemala Season starting tonight in 3 hour blocks. That was probably my favorite season from what I saw, but I missed a few episodes. I'm leaning towards watching Hogeboom and Co. and Tivo'ing Friday Night Lights and just watching it on Sunday mornings or something. But I'm a bit worried I'll get spoilers.

The only way around that is to either tape or TVO one of the shows. I used to face those dilemna's all the time and would end up switiching during commercials....at the end I'd end up frustrated because all I saw was partials of both shows.

If you are worried about spoilers, why would you foresake a new show for one that aired years ago and whose final outcome you already know? Seems like a no brainer to me to watch FNL when it airs, and catch up with Survivor on Tivo whenever.

I'd do it the other way. Watch FNL since it's new and tivo Survivor. Since Survivor is an older season, you really can't get spoiled. Then you can watch it whenever you get a chance.

Yeah, I hear ya, and obviously I've thought of that. But the rub is that I'm a much bigger Survivor fan, and that was one of my favorite seasons...I think Hogeboom along with Jarvis are my favorite guys ever.

I think rewatching it in 3 hour blocks or whatever they have excites me more than being immediately up to date on Friday Night Lights.

Better yet: Watch FNL, Tivo Survivor, start watching Survivor after FNL(skipping through the commercials on Survivor), and by the time the 2 hours are up and you have skipped the commercials, you will have seen FNL, and "3" hours of Survivors in 3 real hours.

I went with watching Guatemanla on schedule and watching FNL at like 1 am. Glad that I did, even though I'm tuckered out today, because otherwise I would have had a lot spoiled by loud co-workers. Really good episode though (I won't spoil).

And as far as Survivor goes, I always like to have some really filling food to eat while I watch it. I hit up the Cheesesteak Factory and downed a sub while they were going on their 11 mile trek to start things off. Very satisfying.

Isn't Guatamania (or whatever it is) on DVD? You could always rent/purchase it...

I don't know why you didn't take my advice (would have gotten to sleep at an earlier hour and still seen all "4" hours of shows in 3 hours).

Tonight I definitely watch Carolina/Duke and TIVOing Survivor. Still, it's cool to see Hogeboom in action again. I wish there was an ex-NFL player in every season.
