I really liked how Octavian brought up Agrippa's name. Just something I thought that was really neat. I really do like the actor playing Octavian as well, so if he is leaving, then I too am saddened, but I'm sure (and I hope) the actor playing the older Octavian will be great. Everyone else has been playing their part so well, why not the new guy?
I don't remember any nudity either. Shame really.

Skipping ahead (a LOT of stuff happened between then and what eventually happened), Rome and Augustus eventually declared war on Egypt. At the Battle of Actium, Antony's quickly-assembled navy was crushed by Rome. There were rumors that a) Augustus was going to capture Cleopatra and parade her in chains through the streets of Rome; and b) that because of this, Cleopatra had committed suicide. Neither of these were true (at the time), but Antony believed the stories and committed suicide (seppuku-style) on the battlefield. Cleopatra died a few days later, allegedly by allowing two asps to bite her.

Augustus outlived them both by almost 45 years, dying in Rome of natural causes in 14AD.
Thanks! I only learned those Roman history recently (evenually I visited Rome last November).

No nudity but Atia did tell Octavian that Marc Anthony buggers little boys like him for breakfast!

I was promised nudity at the begining.

Rome without Nudity is like Deadwood with no cocksuckers.

Maybe they have to use that regardless because of all the cock drawings in the intro piece?

Wasn't there nudity in the "Previously On Rome" segment?

If you have HBO on demand they have some GREAT making of stuff

Its true, Octavian will be replaced. They talk to him and I dont like him. I thought the kid now was great but of couse they had to get someone older. This new guy looks like an uglier Paul Bettany, nothing like the kid now. He seems more like Mordred from Excalibur

OK, I've been really busy trying to stay up with the Australian Open (man, it's really taxing on my DVR), so I just barely had a chance to watch both episodes. Man, I'm so happy this show is back, but can't believe this is the last season.

I was really happy though because I just recently bought a new TV (around Thanksgiving), so this was the first time I was able to watch this show in HD. And man, this show looks so incredible. I was never the biggest fan of the openiong credits, but I thought they looked so much better in HD.

Anyway, great eps. Kinda figured that Vorenus' children were probably still alive. I don't see why he didn't torture that guy medieval Jack Bauer style until he was sure they were really dead. And I think it's interesting that with Caesar's will Pullo's stock jumped tremendously higher because of his relationship with Octavius while Vorenus' stock, once significantly higher, is falling, turning him into a common thug.

As for the nudity that no one seems to remember, there was that one mourner who bared her breast, put it in Caesar's dead mouth and left some milk (I think that was the second ep, watching them back to back is leaving me a bit unsure). That would probably be the nudity that people are speaking about. Plus, we did see that nude woman after Anthony had apparently slept with her, although there wasn't much that could be seen.

natural causes or poisioned figs still on the tree, depending on if you want to believe the BBC or not

That was in the first episode.

Vorenus going crazy on the statue and calling himself the Son of Hades was great. His onlookers looked like they were going to wet themselves.
I've really grown to like the actor playing Octavian too. He's grown into a really strong character. It's too bad he will be replaced.
I'm sad this will be the last season. I know it wouldn't go on forever, but one or two more seasons to flesh more things out would have been great.

Wow, the new Octavian is in 7 episodes, which makes me think this is the last we've seen of Max Pirkis (Young Octavian).

Whoops, just checked before posting and it looks like we see him in one more episode (Feb 18th).

This has been a great season so far.
