None of the other seasons have had producers' cuts; this is the first season that producers cuts have been made available at all. However, there have been plenty of deleted scenes available on the previous season sets and the "super-sized" season 2 finale was complete on the DVD.

It'll be interesting to see how they deal with the producers' cuts on the S3 DVD: either seemless branching or just deleted scenes again. Hopefully the former, and I actually hope all the episodes get "producers' cuts" on the DVD set.

I seem to recall that some stuff in the deleted scenes in S1 and/or S2 has been referred to later on. In terms of at least the season, it makes sense that the deleted scenes would be considered cannon, since the writers are writing future episodes based on earlier scripts that haven't been shot and edited yet, thus anything in that script would be taken into consideration since none of it's been "deleted" yet.

Dude, you are very "Oscar" over BSG.

I thought last weeks was much funnier but this one had some great moments.
The long shot with Kevin in the background wearing a sombrero.
And, "I will literally be standing right here."

andicus 01-21-07 09:39 PM

Aww, come on... All these posts and no one has mentioned Michael's line:

"... and I think we should celebrate Oscar's Mexicanity. So, Phyllis, I want you to go find firecrackers and... a Chihuahua." rotfl

Damn, I can't access the Producers scenes. The clip is not available 'in my area.' Conveniently, the commercial before the clip is available in my area... I guess it's a U.S. only thing. I tried web anonymizer, but it wouldn't even load the video. :grumble:

Count me in the group that finds Andy annoying... Like everyone else, I've worked with annoying people occasionally, but they 'usually' have some redeeming feature. I haven't seen any with him.

As for Pam vs. Karen, I'm still siding with Pam. Unfortunately, I think that after Jim's confession to Karen, the storyline will soon revisit Pam and Roy possibly reconciling. I hope I'm wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised.

You're pretty lucky. I can count two annoying coworkers (one who became my boss, sadly -- worse, it was indirectly my doing) who lacked any redeeming feature.

Some funny quotes...

Andy: You, me, bar, beers, buzzed. Wings, shots, drunk. Waitresses, hot. Football, Cornell/Hofstra, slaughter. Then quick nap at my place, and we hit the tis-own.
Michael: No, I don't want to do any of that.
Andy: Duh, which is why I was joking about doing it.
Michael: Would you stop, stop, just stop doing it. You're going to drive me crazy
Andy: Fine, I'll just go sit at my desk and be quiet. Sorry I annoyed you with my friendship.

Jim: Hey, Ryan.
Ryan: What?
Jim: Do you want to pull a prank on Dwight?
Ryan: Not right now, but ask me again ten years ago.
Jim: I liked you better as the temp.
Ryan: Me too

Michael: Love that Andy right? Solid fellow. Seems smart enough, likes me a lot. A lot, too much, like a crazy person, a little. Not super crazy, just…there’s something about him that creeps me out, I can’t really explain it. He’s always up in my bidness, which is Ebonics for “being in my face and annoying the bejesus out of me”. I don’t understand how someone can have so little self-awareness.

Jim: I miss Dwight. Congratulations universe, you win.

Count me as maybe the only person here who thinks Ryan is one of the absolute best characters. Dude always cracks me up. :)

I agree he is underrated. I think a lot of folks confuse "likable" which I don't think he is, with "liking how the character is portrayed", which is really good.

You, sir, can die. -ptth- I would, however, be amenable to the shows eking past the 10:00PM hour.

There's no way Jan hasn't seen the e-mail by now.

i laughed at how Michael made a comment about "German engineering" to Oscar about his company car, a LEXUS, in the producers cut.

tbird2340 01-30-07 10:40 AM

Funny part from the producers cut:

Oscar walks in the kitchen to find Jim and Creed.

Oscar: "Hey where's Dwight"
Creed: "You didn't hear? Decapitated.. Whole big thing.. We had a funeral for a bird."
Oscar with a look of shock and dumb foundedness...
Jim: "I'm pretty sure none of that's real."
Creed: "You're not real man!!!"

Nobody but Michael seems to like her. I can totally see nobody telling her.
