I loved the "every four months or so, they rerun the episode".
As a fan of COPS I can say thstd sbout right for re-runs.

Funniest episode yet, IMO.

Agreed. Excellent episode.
So I assume Randy's "Are we on Cops?" bit was from the retarded brother in the movie Drop Dead Gorgeous?

No kidding. The show is definitely funny but there are a lot of meh episodes but there is always one that comes along that makes up for everything. This was the one. Originally Posted by DVD Josh

Wow. I almost feel guilty complaining about 'Earl' now; this episode REALLY made up for it. By the time 'The Office' and '30 Rock' came on, I was all laughed out. Randy up on the tree crying "it's gonna hurt!" almost made me wet my pants. And then, when he bounced off the tramp and landed, I said "yep. that hurt."
Crabman's inclusion confused me, too, though. Huh.
And anyone who was ever on 'Punky Brewster' is also a hero to me. Of course.

We have known since the pilot that Crabman lived with his mother until she kicked him out -- it was part of the dialogue. That's apparently what led Joy to get the divorce so she could move him in.
I'm guessing they have an explanation ready and waiting.

This was the perfect episode to start the year with, a great way to get people back into the show, and a great introduction to what the show is. Plus it was full of in jokes and secondary characters.
And while it has been mentioned that Tom Stack was in the episode, what I didn't see above is that he also wrote the episode, proving once again he's a multi-talent.
We even got Mimi from Drew Carey as the female cop...

I'm only 2 minutes into the episode, but this is already the best Earl ever.

Why did they focus on the Ronald Regan picture when going back to Crabman's room? Is that insight to his background?

"That was me. I hit that."
Definitely the best Earl yet. I cannot see them topping this one. Interesting that the best Earl ep of the series had nothing at all to do with his list.

I just thought it was supposed to be ironic. Didn't every stoner back in the 70s have a Nixon poster on his wall?Originally Posted by kantonburg

It was on the wall in the hallway, which means it was Crabman's mom's picture. I assumed it meant his mom was a big supporter of the "Just Say No to Drugs" president, without realizing her son was growing massive amounts of pot in her home.Originally Posted by wergo

LOL, pretty good stuff. I have to say that the part that made me laugh hardest was the end when Joy is running away naked and hits the cameraman with whatever that was. "You made me do it, Kevin!" ROFL

I was just thinking back about the whole Witness Protection thing while re-watching the episode and noticed that his Mom mentioned that they had just moved there. I wonder if she was relocated with him, but, that didn't really fit with the whole throwing him out of the van thing, so, I really have to wonder now...
I'm glad I had it recorded to DVR. Gonna go watch it again.
