Absolutely, I've been a fan of the show since Season 1 premiered back in 2001 and am anxiously waiting for January 14th for Season 6's premiere.

Depending on how much time you have, you could easily finish 1 season within a week.

When my friend first loaned me the first season DVD I ended up staying up till late watching episode after episode and waking up early some mornings to watch an episode before work. It was like a drug.
Beware.

What he said. I have watched 18 hours of 24 (realtime hours) in less than 2 days.

It is hands down the best show on TV IMO, eventhough I love Lost, Smallville, Veronica Mars, House, etc. None of them have the addictive power of 24.

unless, of course, you are Jack Bauer, who we all know can kick a three year heroin addiction in a matter of hours.

100% addictive! I may be nuts, but I cannot watch the show when it runs on tv. There is no possible way I could wait one week in between episodes. So I wait until the season is released on dvd and I go thru the season in a matter of 2-3 days. I bought 24 Season 5 on X-mas eve and I finished it this morning...All I can say is WOW!

Isn't it super hard to avoid spoilers if you only watch it on DVD, though? It's a show where stories about character deaths & plot twists regularly show up in newspapers & magazines after the episodes air.

It's like candy coated crack dipped in sex. Yeah, I'd say it's addictive.

Oh yes, it's addicting. You better clear you schedule for the next week because once you start, you won't be able to stop.

Very addicting...I started watching during S2 and that made me buy S1, and I've been watching live from S3-S5

Oh yes, very. Regularly played 4, 5, 6 episodes in a row when I watched them on DVD.

One of the best experiences of my life was watching the first season on DVD over a weekend.

I was in the same boat, hadn't watched it but heard good things about it. My Target had the first four seasons for $16 each after Thanksgiving so I picked them up.

I watched the first season over the course of a week. It really is a good show. I wouldn't call Season 1 (the only one I've seen so far) mega addictive, but once you get started you'll be finishing it within a week or two. Or, based on other's posts, within a day or two. Keep in mind that each season has 24 episodes, each episode being 41 to 42 minutes long.

Yep. 24 currently holds the record for my longest marathon viewing. 9 episodes to close out the season 1 dvd.

I find myself yelling at the screen and getting angry at certain characters. After it's over i feel pretty dumb. I love it, can't get enough. You're in for a great ride.

I borrowed season 1 from a friend a few years back and started watching it. I ended up viewing multiple episodes through the night to get through it in two days. When it was done, as much as anything else I was relieved, and have had no desire to watch any other season since. To be fair, I don't think it holds up that well watching episodes that close together.

Yes. It definately qualifies as Must See TV, even when you are thinking, There is no way this can happen..and that is a huge Plot hole...You say 'Who the F cares, Jack Bauer Owns all!' and keep on watching.
