I'm still waiting for someone, anyone, to realize that all you have to do to upset the balance of power is have the crew agree to join together and whoever is on the captains team throw the challenge and the winning team will give them a share of the gold.
The optimum strategy in this game is about bribing people to throw challenges and nobody has yet realized it.

Wow, I had hoped to dive into this show! Did I read the release right; is it only available in online episodes?
For another topic; oh sweet Lord, would I have loved the option of throwing stray episodes on the internet to have been an option for all the shows when I was growing up...

I watched yesterday's episode off their website... too bad the twists and turns came on this episode and not before. I actually like this stupid show.

I can see why it failed if for no other reason then it wasn't very thoght out. I'm sure it also failed because who really cares about pirates.
It was essentially impossible to get rid of the captain. It not only took all the crew's votes, but it also took the votes of his two captains, yeah I'm sure that's going to happen a lot ha.
Basically every episode was the exact same because of the stupid rules, plus it clearly was made up of actors or wannabe actors in my opinion, even more obvious then other reality shows.
Plus, how on earth can you have a pirate show, where a person voted off, doesn't have to walk the plank? I mean it doesn't get more obvious then that. Instead you float off on some stupid raft.

how nice of cbs to put a HUGE spoiler right on the front page ruining the entire episode.
also i swear they are making up rules as they go along. producers didnt like how unfair it was getting with the "triad" so they make up a rule to "fix" it.
"oh, um...you guys are no longer officers....why? uh...um...cuz...its pirates code! yeah thats it"
wtf? now granted i was sick of aszymuothsdljfak (whatever his name is) but that was so freaking weak. i did enjoy his nervous laughter and lame one liners once he was black spotted.
"heh, no big deal...like whatever...i dont even care...im cool with it" - i bet he ran off to cry in a corner after the camera stopped filming him.
"cant wait to see who the new pirate master will be - since i guess it wont be me!" - no shit sherlock. now get on your loser raft and sail away.

Ok, so it's pretty silly for me to continue to comment on this dumb show that I keep watching...
But anyways, am i the only one who thought it was idiotic to have a clue that says to "divide by 22" and "look under that number step". I would have looked at the whole thing and said "i'm not climbing up those 50-100 steps! just look under steps 3 and 4". Then these idiots get to the top and start asking "did we count 66 steps or 68 steps??"
Then, to make it doubly fair, the other team, with a different puzzle, end up looking under step 22, meaning their clue said to "divide by 3". So one team can miscount the steps by more than anywhere from 1-15 (or so) steps, while the other team only gets a margin of error of 1-2 counted steps?
Unfortunately, I'm sure i'll keep watching this track wreck till the end...

"Pirate" Contestant Found Dead of Apparent Suicide
Posted Jul 30th 2007 11:19AM by TMZ Staff
Filed under: TV, R.I.P.
Cheryl Kosewicz, from the recently canceled CBS reality show "Pirate Master," was found dead in her home on Friday, KOLO-TV in Reno is reporting. Officials told the station the death is believed to be a suicide, but is still under investigation.

Just two months earlier, Kosewicz's boyfriend also took his own life.
Her death was confirmed by fellow "Pirate Master" contestant Nessa Nemir, who posted on the show's Facebook page, "All of the pirates and Cheryl's friends and family are shocked and devastated. It is a tragic loss that we all feel very deeply."
Another contestant, Joycelyn "Joy" McElveen, wrote on her MySpace page, "I lay in my bed tossing and turning waiting on someone to wake me up from this horrible nightmare. What nightmare you may ask? The nightmare that I thought I would never have to deal with the news that my best friend is dead. I immediately scream out in pain and sorrow."
Kosewicz was the fourth person eliminated (on the show), which was canceled just last week.
