The subplot of the guy in the cement next to his dead wife's body was pretty amusing. I really did not get the ending about the model maker....It didn't make sense to me...

The resolution to the mini-model storyline was beyond disappointing. What crap.

yep, resolution was awful. yet again the case is broken by enhancing horrible video footage.

the other case was good, though. and humorous. the interactions between max and brass were pretty funny.

looks like gil is burned out on crime-solving.

Would seem so with Liev Schreiber coming in in (I think) January.

Anyways, it was a crappy end to this "serial killer". Was it ever explained HOW he did it? Yeah, he can make models, but how did he kill the singer? I gotta wonder if he had an accomplice. Hell, maybe he has a son and decided to admit to the murders to save him because the son could've picked up the hobby...

I only started watching this show again a few weeks ago. I saw the first few seasons. And early on, there was a minor subplot where Sara had a crush on Gil, and he made it pretty clear that nothing was going to happen between them.

But in the past few episodes that I've seen, there seems to be some flirting and intimate innuendo going on between them. Is anyone else noticing it, or am I just crazy? Has anything happened between them in the past season or two?

I agree that the resolution to that multi-part case was really disappointing.

I hate it when they have recognizable guest stars. You always know that the guest star is going to be the killer. As soon as I saw Charlie Utter, I said "that's the killer".

Did they explain in this episode why Charlie Utter killed the old lady 4 or 5 episodes ago? I must have missed it. All I remember was him saying he didn't know the lady....

now, that would be an interesting way to go. perhaps we'll see another minature murder. but the way CSI is going these days (disappointing), i doubt it.

i just hate that the case was broken with the grainy footage, and the fact that the guy added minutes to the phone with a credit card (when earlier, he had been smart enough to use cash).

I don't think so. They just kind of dismissed it with the generic "nutjob" explanation, which doesn't really fit in with the rest of the profile. It was a pretty abrupt and unsatisfactory payoff for all the weeks of build-up.

Well, in terms of that, he planned on killing himself when the police came in. He already e-mailed Grissom confessing to the murders so he didn't care about using the credit card. It just seems way too lazy the way it happened. So, he gets brought in for questioning, they let him go and then he confesses? Why not confess in the station, then grab one of the cop's guns and do it then? That's why I think there might be someone else out there like a son or even a daughter (to really mess up the profile).

Speaking of that e-mail, ain't it convenient that Grissom was near his computer in time to see him confess and kill himself? It was determined to be a live feed with SWAT coming in, so what would have Grissom seen after the fact? Just a live feed of nothing? Maybe he was recording it for viewing later, but it was a little too tidy in that instance as well as the case resolution.

She's got a future in acting. I don't think I could remember as many lines as she did.

Plus, he didn't get 4 notices telling him to upgrade his video player, followed by 20 seconds of "Buffering..." every 5 seconds while the screen freezes.

I don't think that dude was the real killer. Well, at least I hope he wasn't.

Man, this season hasn't been good at all.

I love how all it took was a new program to get the higher resolution picture

I agree it was a shitty ending.

The other case was pretty good.

He used Monster Cable to get a better picture.

I watched this last night - and it sucked!

1) Why did he do it?
2) Why kill the old lady?
3) How did he kill them, and then make the models - or did he make the models first and then kill them? How did he gain access to the house to know what it looks like?

If this is the end of that story line - then it is over for CSI Las Vegas

You know what? I don't think it actually IS over, because we never really got a resolution as to what was up with the pictures of the doll that was involved into each scene. Also, we never found out how the models were able to be so detailed (knowledge of each scene), did we?

Do they even do any forensic science in this show any more? Ugh.

This season has been horrible.
