"Single Stamina"

I hope Marshall gets in one of his slaps while Barney's brother is in town!!

well, a year later Robin and Ted are still together. That means teh writers can't have them break up for at least another year (unless they break up and get back together).

First episode I ever saw, and I really enjoyed it.

Not as "laugh out loud" as last week, but still a quality epsiode from the series.

So, we're going to assume this was just a flash foward to Decemberish of 2007, and that the timeline will revert back to 2006 come next.

Also, a few things:

-Ted and Robin will still be together
-Lily and Marshall will get married

I hate to admit it, but those drinks really are tasty.

Everyone is saying that ted and robin were still together...just because they were at the wedding together does not mean they are still "together"

I thought the whole point that they both wanted to stay meant they had single's stamina and were no longer together.

That's also the way I saw it. Also, one year later, apparently Ted hasn't met the "mother" yet (or he's "met" her but it's not to the point where they're seriously dating).

I thought it was good.

I liked that they had the baby suited up

Great episode - I like the Pig and Hero (or whatever they called it) play.

I too think that Ted and Robin have broken up by this point. I think it was more telling that Ted said he'd stay and then Robin said she would too...like they weren't there together.

I liked Ted and Marshall getting hit on too - they played it really funny. I like Ted a lot when the show isn't completely focused on him.

A flash forward like this only goes to further prove how flawed the premise is. I WISH they would jump ahead a year. Those kids'll be dead before he finally friggin' tells them how he met their mother (of course do we know that the guy telling the story is their Dad even?).

I thought it was obvious that Ted and Robin were no longer dating. It was very awkward when he said "I am staying" and she said the same thing. If they had come together, they would have said "we". I thought it was a nice touch.

I got a kick out of the guys in the gay bar, so politely turning down the advances.

yep, good touch to show they had their single stamina again. nice use of the flash-forward.
