I have mixed feelings about the move. I was never watching it on Fridays since I recorded it. But Dexter is also on at 10PM on Sundays which is not good for me.
Why are the ratings down this season?

That may be true. I know more people that watch the SG's that don't even sniff BG. I don't know why that is.
Since SG1 is going away, I figured the troika of Doctor Who, Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica would be a great night of geek TV.
Oh well....Sundays at 9pm CST is good for me, too. I just hate the fact that Sci-Fi wants to move it around. It means the network is thinking, and bad things happen when networks think.

What does Sci-Fi run on Sunday nights now? Crappy movies? Maybe they want to build a new evening of original programming and are using this as a tentpole.

Personally I mourn the loss of SciFi Friday. Doctor Who doesn't have long seasons, SG-1 is about to be cancelled - besides Atlantis, what else will they put in that isn't more horror or supernaturally inclined?
Looks like Bonnie Hunter's wish to take the "sci" out of "SciFi" is working.

Horrible idea. Sundays is my busiest night and even with a 2 tuner DVR I have to sacrafice some shows, all I need is another show on Sunday, and I may not be able to get the rebroadcast later as I already catcht the Dexter rebroadcast.

Sure, there are probably more new shows being developed, but horror and supernatural are cheaper to do effects-wise. I figure that a few episodes of Galactica would pay for a while season of The Dresden Files.

Caprica is still in early development; it has NOT been greenlit as a production. Right now it's just a bunch of ideas on paper and in the head of Ron Moore. That said, it was never designed as a space show...it follows a number of families on the planet, one of whom are the Adamas (with young William being around 5-8 or so).

Meh... I have no strong feelings about this. I can watch it Sunday night just as easily as Friday (probably more easily actually). And aren't the ratings down this year? A move may help.

No specific worries about a move to Sundays, but this is very true:

Works for me - I have no other TV recording to do on Sunday night so this won't affect me at all Tivo-wise.

Great. Stupid move, IMO.
When I was a teenage geek, Friday night was when I controlled the TV while Mom and Dad ignored me. Sunday night was family night when Mom and Dad liked to watch 60 minutes followed by a movie. No way I could have watched something like BSG.

Wasn't BSG originally aired on Sunday nights on ABC?
I really hope the "retooled" rumor is just that. Of course, if all they do is tone down the phony swearing, I can live with it.
I hope Boxey lived on Cloud Nine.
