It looks like John Locke is leading a group in the next one. Coming after the Others?

Spoiler:
When Danny told Sawyer that he would kill him but they need him. I think they want Jack to use Sawyer's spine to replace Ben's tumor in his spine, if that is even possible

beatccr 10-25-06 09:18 PM

how does sawyer know that is their island? can he see the camp from there? if so why can't they see the 2nd island when they look out? if he doesn't see the camp how does he know that fenry isn't showing him something else..like a peninsula or what not.

AWESOME episode, and season three keeps raising the bar. I too thought that maybe the pacemaker was a fake, but it was still a cool angle. Desomnd is getting increasingly creepy with his seemingly psychic powers. I really wonder what's going on with him.

Very good episode...as all of Sawyer's have been so far IMO. Good flashback and nice development on the island(s)' plot as well.

HE Pennypacker 10-25-06 09:20 PM

They want us to think the X-rays are Fenry's, but I think they could be Locke's.

dashiet 10-25-06 09:20 PM

Tonight's ep was totally better than last week's.

Spoiler:
I don't think that's even close to possible. I could imagine that Ben is a rare blood type and they need Sawyer as a live donor for a lot of blood or something like that, though.

monkey42 10-25-06 09:22 PM

I was wondering how Sawyer could have gotten a pacemaker installed and not needed any recovery time. Made me wonder how advanced their medicine was.

They could also be a plant placed there on purpose to give Jack reason to believe he is needed. Of course, that wouldn't explain the squabbling over bringing Jack up to perform the emergency surgery.

Flashbacks are pretty much pointless at this point. Other than being shoehorned into the island plot, what exactly did the flashback have to do with the island? Season 1 & most of 2's were useful since they showed why the characters were on the flight. The recent ones we could do without. What's next, we find the Hurly wipes his ass 6 times he craps and the flashback is when he is five and it gives the reason.

They don't even have a crash cart with working paddles, for pete's sake.

Yeah, flashbacks are starting to get a little stale. We find out something we didn't know before, but it doesn't change anything really. Although I wonder how long ago this flashback happened, and if Sawyer's daughter doesn't wind up being an Other.

rotfl

Nausicaa 10-25-06 09:29 PM

I imagine the flashback will continue to reveal WHY all the characters are on the island. I still don't think the crash was accidental.

I got that part - but how did Desmond know the lightning was going to strike there? What is he, psychic?

No kidding. I might have thrown the remote at the tv had another Dharmatian survived.

I think they are still screwing w/ Sawyer. He's just making James believe that his fellow passengers are on an island, when in reality they are on a very long peninsula.

I can stare at Kate's back for a while.

I was happy to see Kim Dickens again.

Apparently, it was pretty well established in last weeks episode when he commented on Locke's speech before Locke's speech.

dsa_shea 10-25-06 09:34 PM

I still think the island (if it is even that) is a prison/rehabilitation facility.

Uh, did you miss the ending of the last show? Desmond can see the future now because of the hatch imploding.

Although, the previews completely glossed over this part of the storyline, which made me wonder what they were thinking.

That's what the show is hinting, like last week, Desmond knew about Locke's speech in advance.

RichC2 10-25-06 09:35 PM

It's a preview, the less it shows the better.

Brian Gentz 10-25-06 09:36 PM

I think that this flashback brought something interesting to the table. That he's willing to sell out in order to advance himself. Maybe the others will offer him a deal like they offered Michael.

Snowmaker 10-25-06 09:40 PM

Never thought I'd say this about Lost, but that was a very annoying and pointless episode. It better get better soon.

You think tonight's episode is worse than last week?
