Spoiler:
made ya look

The last few weeks have been dramatic, so I hope this one ups the action level a bit.

I think we need a new policy just for LOST episode threads. Maybe they shouldn't be made before 6 PM. It is pretty annoying having to go through more than a page of crap to get to the episode discussion.

Yes, I know this will be part of the crap. I did at least wait to see that the status quo would be maintained and the thread would go over a page prior to the show airing before I posted this.

Why not just start reading at the 9pm EST posts?

You have to find the 9 PM post first. Clearly, the thread posting rule is here to prevent this type of situation. The problem is that it just doesn't work for this show.

Hey, what about us in Canada where the show starts at least an hour earlier? Don't we count for anything?

I like you Canadians. That's why I suggested 6 instead of 9. :)

EDIT: I guess posting that 2 hours before the moment kinda ruins my suggestion

I guess I just don't see the need for further rules when we have free will. Especially since 6PM is completely arbitrary. At least midnight starts the day.

Just saw this episode and it was the Lost of old for me. I really haven't been happy with the episodes this season, but this was my favorite. Just a great episode. Some spoilers:

Spoiler:
  • There is some serious misdirection throughout this episode.
  • Sawyer maybe has a daughter?
  • Jack tries to help save the Other that Sun shot last week to no avail
  • Sawyer gets his ass kicked by the husband of the chick that dies. Kate has to profess her love for Sawyer to get the beating to stop.
  • Kate has a chance to escape but won't leave without Sawyer. He tells her to leave if she really loves him, to which she replies she doesn't really love him. Ouch! She returns to her cage after he won't leave
  • Juliet is a fertility doctor.
  • Jack sees an xray of a male of about 40 with a large tumor on his spinal column, and since Jack is a spinal surgeon, he figures that is why they brought him there. Maybe Fenry?
  • Sawyer's flashback shows him conning someone in jail (Javier from Felicity) in order to get an early release
  • Desmond has more visions

The biggest reveal is:

Spoiler:
There are two islands! The Others island is a different island than where the other survivors are. There is nowhere for Sawyer to run

J-Dubya 10-25-06 08:18 PM

can't wait!

Spoiler:
wtf??!! the poor bunny!!!!

arrrrghhhhhh

SuperBatMan 10-25-06 08:26 PM

The pacemaker is kinda a WTF moment, but it beeping when Sawyer was watching Kate undress might have been the biggest LOL moment of the entire show.

Patman 10-25-06 08:29 PM

Yeah, I totally LOL at the excitometer on Sawyer's wrist now.

Jimmy James 10-25-06 08:31 PM

I have to think they're screwing with him. They cut him but didn't give him a pacemaker. That's just better TV.

zuffy 10-25-06 08:38 PM

Good to see that bitch is dead.

RichC2 10-25-06 09:01 PM

Solid enough episode, though oddly uninvolving for a little while.

Still, by and large, the most cinematic show on television. And in 4 episodes.. has already covered more new ground than the first 12 episodes of season 2. Continues to be an overall excellent season.

SuperBatMan 10-25-06 09:06 PM

Another island?:hscratch:

treszoks 10-25-06 09:06 PM

So what was it that Desmond constructed and why?

A lightning rod to make sure that the strike hit something other than the baby or its mother.

lightning rod, it was going to hit Claire' hut so he constructed the lighting rod since she wouldn't move.

SuperBatMan 10-25-06 09:09 PM

Spoiler:
So I guess we're gonna find out who the glass eye belonged to that the Tailles found in their hatch in season 2. Question is, just whoTF was that?!

zuffy 10-25-06 09:09 PM

In the preview for next week, is that
Spoiler:
the dude in the monitor from the video with the eye patch?

RoyalTea 10-25-06 09:11 PM

seems like the same island the plane crashed on and the island the others live on had some medical facilities.

I wonder why the tumor-on-the spine x-rays were at the second island.

HE Pennypacker 10-25-06 09:12 PM

This was one amazing episode. I called the 'twist' in this episode, but I was still thoroughly engaged. The next two episodes to end the first six weeks should be a blast.

A-aron 10-25-06 09:14 PM

definately one of my favorite episodes ... Bill Duke is the man! He has that look that emotes sadness and a strange "i could kick your ass" vibe.

Patman 10-25-06 09:16 PM

Does Bill Duke always wear a suit in all his roles?
