Does anybody have a read on whether Kring borrowed the coroner's set from his other show (Crossing Jordan)? I didn't even consider that until now, and I have removed the episode from my DVR.

Dark Niki is the one with the tattoo. It's been confirmed on TVGuide and Eonline, I think.

She was definitely the one in control when we saw the tattoo, but I'm not convinced one way or the other that regular Niki doesn't have it. I think it would be cool if only Dark Niki had it, though.

I like "Dark Niki" better.

Simple and to the point.

Didn't he pretty much display clairvoyant powers when he dreamed of falling off the roof with his brother's face below him? That was long before meeting the coke-head. And we didn't actually see him fly on his own. Probably means nothing, though, as they pretty much definitively establish his powers in the previews.

Mohinder continues to annoy me... it's not only the insipid intros done in his voice, it's the whole condescending attitude he took with Jess. And why the heck would he stay in that apartment, when he knows the bad guys know about it?

Flying bro's pretty dumb if he's really married and decides to have an affair at the casino... he's an aspiring politician after all. I realize this plays into the storyline and all, but the guy is supposed to be totally consumed with winning this election to the point of ostracizing his own family, and he decides to have a fling with a girl he just met at a casino?

Regenerating cheerleader just gets hurt way too much, and not even the times she does so on purpose: she gets mangled by the (now unmarked) garbage disposal, she gets her neck broken by a tackle, she falls on a branch that punctures her neck and separates her brain... is she super fragile as well as super regenerative?

Hiro and his friend are by far my favorite part of the show... even if it is insanely stupid to cheat that way playing cards.

This is definitely one of my favorite tv shows.

I agree that the flying brothers seem to be boring.

I'm more interested in the claire, niki, and hiro characters though I don't understand what niki's background is or whatever she's doing.

I don't know what they're going to do with claire's story next. seems like she could get in some trouble for trying to kill the guy. but i guess if there weren't any witnesses and she somehow heals up and moves the guy over to the driver seat before police arrive, she could easily get away with it.

I downloaded the first three eps last weekend, and I was kind of on the fence about whether to stick with the show. I liked a lot of it (Niki and the Japanese guys), but the rest of it felt poorly written.

This weeks episode convinced me to stay around for a bit.

I had the same problem with that storyline. He has a problem with his "crazy" brother enough to pay him off to leave town, but an affair is a okay? Weak storytelling there.

When "Dark Niki" has her heel ontop of the Guys head, she says, "If you ever threaten OUR son, I will kill you" (or something very close to it).

But, she does say "Our son".

Maybe she is being taken over by her "Dead/Missing" husband or maybe she blames all men for what her husband did to her and their son. Maybe he was threatening them.

What do you think?

I kind of like the idea that she has absorbed him or he's taken up residence in her subconcious, either way.

Okay, I’ve read this whole thread and nobody’s mentioned it so…

What’s with the picture of Mohinder’s dad, Chandra Suresh, on the back of the book he (Chandra) wrote? The first few times we see the photo, the picture was that of Erick Avari (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0042805/). And I wasn’t the only one who previously recognized him. Meatpants and Snowmaker mentioned it here (http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread....&page=2&pp=25), posts #48 and #49; and the Internet Move DataBase has "Heroes" listed under his filmography.

The guy on the back of the book in the last episode was not Erick Avari (or was it Erick with a thick-ass beard? And if so, why two different photos on the same book?). [guessing]Maybe Erick was supposed to make an appearance later on (in a flashback episode), but backed out for a scheduling conflict or something, so they stuck another guy on the book; a lesser known actor who’s got plenty of time on his hands.[/guessing] As soon as the book was flipped over to reveal the photo on the back, I was like, “what the hell?”

Anyway, great show. Only one of two that I look forward to each week (Lost is the other).

Do we actually know that Claire's dad is evil? We haven't seen him actually do anything evil.
He's definitely Sinister. Sinister == Evil is axiomatic on US television shows. Kidnapping is definitely Bad, if not outright Evil, and very very Rude. Invasive experiments are definitely Evil, but Mr Sinister claims he won't hurt the cop, so he could just be Extra Bad. We still don't know his motives, so he could just be Misguided with Tendencies towards Evil.

There's an online comic you can read that reveals a little about this.

BTW,

Spoiler:
Does anyone else get the impression that Eden (the girl helping Mohinder) is a little shady?

I think there's a good chance that's just misdirection. How many other shows feature a protagonist who use heroin because it's a 'good' thing? Also, I'm assuming either Flying Brother or Niki is a good guy and one's cheating on his wife while the other makes a living at internet porn. I definitely think the show's trying to be risque by having some heroes that would usually be considered 'bad' people.

I took that as confirmation that Dark Niki knows about Niki - hence "our son" - the two sides of her personality.

Or were you asking something else?

Yep, I think you are right. It is Both Niki's making the comment, not about her Dead/Missing husband.

Don't know why I did not think of that.
