So when they say "The Nine" they are referrring to the hostages?, but since the sister is dead, there's really only 8, but then if you count the bank robber who is in jail who seems to be a featured character, then there's 9 again.

I would assume the younger bank robber is part of "The Nine" since he's connected to the group via the banker's daughter. Also, didn't one of the women tell the cops not to hurt the robber when they were taking him in?

Yes, I think it was the half-haired girl from 24.

Can't wait!

Well, since NBC took Kidnapped off Wednesday, The Nine becomes my default 10-spot viewing in HDTV.

I'm thinking that he became one of the hostages. Maybe very early on?
Maybe he saved the banker's daughter from his brother? Turned on his brother? I don't think everything is what it seems.

Everyone who watched the pilot is also going "huh?" since they haven't showed what went on in the bank.

all we really know is
Spoiler:
the cops/negotiators on the outside screwed up somehow resulting in the death of a hostage

What I want to know is why the father seemed to be frozen in place. It was kinda freaky.

This show is pretty boring, I don't like any of the Nine, counting the Egan character (seems like a propped "hero" judging by the rest of the reaction of the survivors).

Anyone reconize the guy who is the main fed on the case with the Tim Daly character, as Walsh from very early on in season 1 of 24

I recognize him as Agent Ron Butterfield from the West Wing.

Speaking of recognizing actors on this show, when I saw Egan's boss, I had this nagging feeling that I knew him from another show. So I looked him up on IMDB and lo and behold, it turns out he's the kid from Kate and Allie. And he looks exactly the same!

He also had a short stint on OZ. I believe he even participated in the Oz right of passage and showed his doodle.

I enjoyed the first episode but this one really went downhill. With the exception of Tim Daly I don't care about anyone. I'll give it one more epidode to see if it's going to go anywhere.

Man, I love looking at Camille Guaty (yum), but this show so far seems much ado about nothing. What on paper seemed like an excellent, interesting idea, has turned out, at least so far, to be pretty god damn boring to me.

I agree that it is boring, and they need to start feeding some more information to hook me. When I see John Billingsley, I always think about his creepy character from Nip/Tuck.

I think this show has already lost me, too. I'm just not finding it that interesting and I don't care enough about what happened during the bank robbery to have flashbacks of it for an entire season. Oh, well.

He also played Ron Cheals, the ex-member in a wheel chair on The Unit last season as well.

My girlfriend and I gave up on this show halfway through this episode. There hasn't been a single moment of excitement and it seems it's much ado about nothing. I'm sorry, but any TV show that I give 90 minutes to has to elicit some kind of emotion from me during that time period. The Nine didn't do it.

We saw a show about Pandas I had DVRd instead. It was about fifty times more entertaining, sadly.

I'm not digging this either. I probably won't tune in again next week.

Looks like it lost about one-third of it's audience from last week, and those numbers last week were considered a disappointment.
