Ultimate Fighter 4

Team No Love
Middleweights: Travis Lutter, Charles McCarthy, Gideon Ray, Jorge Rivera
Welterweights: Rich Clementi, Mikey Burnett, Jeremy Jackson, Pete Spratt

Team Mojo
Middleweights: Pete Sell, Scott Smith, Patrick Côté, Edwin Dewees
Welterweights: Shonie Carter, Chris Lytle, Matt Serra, Din Thomas

How funny is Shonie Carter? "My second baby mama threw an iron skillet at me!!". I thought he was older than 34. The fact that he has had 200 fights is insane.

God do I love UFC. Nothing like a show that teaches you how to kick ass in the real world.

I'm waiting for some mope to get cute with me so I can make him cry with that sweet armbar that you put on with your legs.

It will take a few weeks for me to start distinguishing one guy from the other on TUF. That Shonie guy fooled me, he didn't look like he was into it at all yet he still won.

Ya, he fooled me as well. I knew he was a very weird fighter, but I didn't think he had it in him. Oh well, I guess having Matt Serra in your corner helps out quite a bit.

Are we going to just have one thread for the entire show this time again, because last time it got pretty dang long, or doesn't it justify a separate thread each week? Just thought I'd ask here at the beginning...

First episode was last night after a new Ultimate Fight Night.

Where were the coaches during the episode? Aren't Coture and St. Pierre coaching the two teams this time?

No coaches this season, Coture and St. Pierre are referred to as trainers.

I'm glad Shonie Carter won! I'm looking forward to a spinning backfist in the near future and his personality cracks me up!

Anyone else feel that Team Mojo is stacked? My guess is that they go after Gideon Ray next week since they have the hammer. It's tougher to say who will fight him cause I believe that all four of Team Mojo's middleweights would tool him.

I thought Matt was going to give Shonie a hummer and based on the tent that Shonie was displaying in his Speedos, he probably would have gladly accepted it.

The reason why the end cut out for you guys is because the Ultimate Fight Night that aired prior to TUF4 went over by almost 10 minutes.

Yeah mine was cut off as well because of the runover from the previous show. I was wondering how they would handle the corners since no team had their own coaches.

How'd you guys like the fights on UFN before the premier? The Diego fight was one of the best fights I've seen!! Leban is such a douche and I also can't stand Koscheck..

That fight with Diego vs Karo was amazing best fight of the year so far, so where does Diego go from here. I would like to see him take on BJ Penn then go on to Hughes.

btw does anyone get FSN there is a big Pride show on this sunday.

I think he's definately proven himself.. He's beating Karo Parisyan, John Alessio, Nick Diaz, Brian Gassaway, and Kenny Florian since being in the UFC.

With Hughes and GSP fighting in September and then the winner of TUF4 supposedly getting a title shot (albeit they never said when that title shot would be) who knows if he will get one..

I think him fighting BJ Penn would be a good idea too and an awesome fight..

Bad news is that GSP has a groin injury but is still supposed to fight for the title. Man it sucks if he's not 100% for this fight.. I truly believe he has a shot against Hughes.

I thought I read something on the UFC website yesterday about GSP being pulled and BJ Penn taking his place.

OMG you're right!!! I hadn't read yesterdays news.. Man that REALLY blows for GSP. He got FREAKIN SCREWED having to wait for the friggin BS fight between Hughes and Gracie and now this happens to him..

Dang, that really sucks.. That being said.. Penn vs Hughes should also be awesome!

Really excited to see Hughes-Penn...Should be a great fight, although I do feel bad for GSP, he really deserves his shot. I was actually impressed with Koscheck as he has grown leaps and bounds as a fighter, though still damned annoying. Lister gassed hard. He needs to work on that conditioning. I know he cut weight, but damn at one point he just laid down. Still need to finish watching the Sanchez-Parysian fight.
