Anyone want to talk about the BRITNEY SPEARS interview on TODAY and DATELINE?
My perception of her won't change, that's for sure.
But I can't wait to see what she says in the interview.
That's gonna be some good TV.

airing Thursday on NBC's Today (7 a.m. ET/PT) and Dateline (9 p.m. ET/PT).

I love Britney. People lambast her way too much and usually for nothing. We all judge celebrities as if we ourselves are perfect; and I do this as well at times, but people pour more hate and attention into Britney than she deserves.
I can't wait to see my Britney speaking her mind to Matt.

I saw a preview tonight, and she was crying. I laughed. I don't feel bad about that at all. She was a millionaire at 16, had her songs on the radio for years, and now she's married with a kid. She's upset because of the tabloids?
What does she have to be sad about? She's made some bad choices, doing this interview makes it obvious she's not learning from her mistakes. Crying on TV is exactly what she shouldn't be doing.

She's never been the best singer. Her appeal and success was part of a bigger package, an image she and her managers, publicists, etc. had, up until two or three years ago, carefully cultivated. But Britney herself has managed to shatter that image into pieces in such a short time frame. Yeah, it sucks to have paparazzi in your face all the time, but that still doesn't explain all the foolish PR mistakes she's made in the past few years. First there were all the decisions that felt like kneejerk reactions to Jessica Simpson's growing fame: the marriage, the awful reality show. But where Jessica managed to turn her negative trait (stupidity) into a positive asset with her reality show, Spears flaunted her negative trait (white trashiness) but none of her fans wanted to see that side of her.

They have a longer preview of this up now at msn.
She explains that baby not being in the car seat as "I used to ride in my daddy's lap and drive the car, we're country, that's what we do"

For me, she stopped being a pop star and became a typical white trash farce once she started dating K-Fed. And to top it off, her obsession with getting knocked up and having a baby was soooo annoying. Typical behavior for white trash.

Worst interview I've ever seen. If Kevin is so caring and supportive (and also currently in the house at the time, as Lauer noted seeing him first when he got there), why didn't he at least stop in during the interview? He's shown being interviewed by Access Hollywood, but he won't contribute to an interview on Dateline NBC with his wife, who's spending the interview trying to go against claims that their marriage is over? Had he appeared, it would have made her claims of a happy marriage at least a tiny bit more believable. Lauer definitely had some chances to call her on her BS, but he didn't.
She also seemed more than a bit evasive. The whole thing, essentially, was an hour long note from Britney to the photogs to stop bothering her and for everyone to stop calling her and K-Fed (who she likes because he's "really simple") white trash. The funny thing is that the whole interview just made her look worse.
Yeah, I watched the whole thing.

Wanting to start a family = White Trash. Or is it white trash behavior because it's Britney Spears wanting to start a family?

You are absolutely correct about it making her look worse. If anything, this interview will just fuel the fire concerning her general stupidity and white trash persona.

Britney was on TV pleading to have some privacy. As much as we all like to know all the details about the celebrities, I think people should stop poking into her life and just leave her alone.

Also, when she compared her/K-Fed's situation with the Julia Roberts/Danny Moder situation. Hilarious. Somewhere, Julia Roberts and Danny Moder felt a strange, unexplained chill at that moment.
Additionally, rather amusing about how she's upset about people calling her trash and, at the same time, completely oblivious to what she's wearing (she looked a bit classier on Letterman) and that she's loudly chewing gum on a prime time interview. But, like she said, she's "doing what *she* wants now."
Maybe she's really trying to finish off what was left of her career in order to get out of the public spotlight. That's the only explanation I can think of for how she presented her side of the story in that interview.

Look, I too believe that sometimes the media (and the celebrity-hungry public) takes it too far. But the celebs use it and benefit from it too.
You can bet that the next time Brit has a album, tour, single, whatever... she'll be intentionally in front of the cameras just begging for coverage. You can't create a UPN "reality" show about your life one year, and then the next year bitch because people are poking into your life. It don't work that way.
