Favorite 'Buffyvers' character?

Who is your favorite 'buffyverse' character besides Angel or Buffy or Spike?

Mine was always Cordelia, ever since 'Prophecy Girl' she started to grow on me, and the major tansition she went through from season three of buffy to season two of angel was just tremedous. Plus her Wit, humor, and Candor...

I have to go with Wesley as well. He and Bright from Everwood should be the first inductees into the stark change in character hall of fame.

I'm shocked neither titular character made it into the poll, btw.

Ah, now I see -- there is more to the question than what the poll or the thread title indicates.

Cordelia...I thought she was the person on the show who actually grounded everyone in reality.

Cordy.

She was the 'backbone' of the Angel series, IMO. When she was absent for the biggest part of season five, you could just feel her presence missing.

From that list, probably Faith, particularly for her appearances on Angel and how she changed. Of course Wesley probably changed more than any other TV character, so he's up there too.

Fred (speaking of characters who changed, and that's not even counting what happened toward the end of Season 5), though I also like Xander and Wesley a lot.

Several great choices up there, but I gotta go with Willow.

My overwhelming love for Willow is both well known and frightening to all those unfortunate to come in contact with me.

She pretty. Hyper-intelligent emotionally-neurotic occasionally homicidal lesbian witches RULE!

I always found Jonathan to be really funny. I wish that he had joined the cast in the final season and not Andrew.

Which is what Gunn did often on ANGEL.

I'd say Gunn was more liable to pick up his giant axe and be ready to beat the crap outta anybody, regardless of the situation, save for Season 5 of course...

My love for Anya depended entirely on her hair color. She started out cute as hell (didn't she look a lot like the pink Power Ranger in 'The Wish'?), then got less and less interesting the blonder she got; by season six I barely cared about her. Then when season seven hit, she tripled her attractiveness. By 'Showtime' she was starting to go back to blonde again. What a waste.

I'm surprised there's so little lusting here over Faith.

And no votes for Dawn? Surprising, considering that it's public knowledge that Michelle Trachtenberg comes onto this forum to hunt for new boyfriends.

I appreciated almost all the characters on Angel and Buffy, but the ones that really stood out to me were; Willow, Xander, Wesley, Cordelia, and Fred/Alleria.

Wesley, with Faith coming in a close second. Both had multi-layered character arcs, but Wesley was a regular for a long time so we got to see more of a gradual change in him vs. Faith who was a guest star, so she went from good to naughty to bad to tormented and back to good in a lot fewer episodes. Plus she was wasted in her return to Buffy in Season 7.

Still, I loved her reunion with Wesley in Season 4 of Angel. Who woulda thought just a few years earlier that one day Faith would be lecturing Wes about how he shouldn't torture anyone?
