Yeah...things change enough by the end of S2 that it will keep it pretty interesting, I think, going forward.

PLEASE, if you decide to keep watching and catch up to watch Season 3 as it airs, and you still don't like it much... spare us all and don't complain about every single episode.

Season two starts off GREAT, and has some heavy plot development going on midway through the season. I'll admit that there was one episode that I felt was rather boring, but now I realize it was an important "flashback" that we needed to see.
Spoiler:
(the Charlie flashback)

Charlies story seems to be the one that matters the least. Rock & Roll and drugs have no place on the island.
Spoiler:
Yes he finds drugs again but its still the same situation
. He gets to suffer and learns to become a better person in his battle with Heroin. Just like every drug recovery story we see on TV. But geez how many episodes can they devote to that?

Ask Scott Weiland. Again you have to consider only 2 months have passed for Charlie.

Well I finished S1 Sat night.

Its a solid show and I will give everyone that. However it still doesn't draw me in so much that I would hate to miss an episode. The season finale was pretty good but it was "semi-flat". The raft stuff was totally CRAZY but the "hatch" part should have gone just a tad further ... ie -- blow the hatch and everyone look in and the shot closes with everyone being wide-eyed. No clue what's there (I guess that would be too copycat though ... huh??). Oh well just my thoughts.

I am going to stick with it though as I do enjoy watching the show. My main reason for that is that the character interaction is very very good and I think thats key. I guess I was/am more of the "cliffhanger, all out action" type of guy though.

To respond to some comments:

-- frontal lobotomy huh ... gee thanks

-- complaining about every episode ... won't do that as that's not my thing. I am simply speaking in generalities.

-- 24 and LOST the same .... never said that and never thought that. I did however expect LOST to compell me to watch like 24 does. I would hate to miss an ep of 24 and when watching it on DVD I just can't stop watching (ie I keep pressing play). LOST does NOT do that .. I can put it down. I can stop and go do other things. That's not a knock on the show its just different. As I said I am still watching and I do not feel its time wasted at all. I guess based on all the hype I was looking for another "rollercoaster type" ride much like 24 and well ... its not. That's fine, too many like shows will sour the taste.

In conclusion I think the show is worth continuing with and will do so once S2 hits the shelves. My mother-in-law is hooked for sure so we'll be sharing info and the DVDs.

Thanks all.

Greg

The first few minutes of the second season are great. The way the season starts is just very cool. Can't wait for the DVD to come out so I can see it again.
