Just discovered Veronica Mars!!!!

Been watching the DVDs of season 1 and I really love this show. It is great. Question is whether I can start watching new episodes right away or will I have to finish season 1, get Season 2 on DVD and start with Season 3. No spoilers please!! Just general NON SPOILER advice.

Yeah, you need to watch Season 2 on DVD. You know who the killer is at the end of season 1 so ...

I've just started watching Veronica Mars on DVD as well, and I'm hooked now. There was no going back after the episode "You Think You Know Somebody".

i actually took a risk and recorded episodes onto the dvr before watching a single episode, so that when i got done with the dvd, i could jump right into the live show. (oh, and ignore the season 2 haters, its been great so far.)

Nope. A whole new mystery is started in the first episode of season 2 that may or may not relate back to the first season mystery. You've missed many clues, many new twists, and a few new characters.

I can't believe you'll appreciate it nearly as much trying to dive right in now.

I just started watching this show last weekend. I can't really say I think it's anything special yet, but it definitely has potential.

Although, I almost lost it when I saw Paris Hilton guest-starring in the third episode.

That really the same progression of thought I had over the first 3-4 episodes. It really hit me the further I got into it though and I was completely hooked as the season neared it's end.

I watched it last night for the first time in over a year. I'm definitely renting season one on DVD so the wife and I can catch up until season two is released.

I forgot how gorgeous Kristen Bell is.

As much as I hate Paris Hilton, she wasn't bad at all on the show.

I watched all of Season 1 this summer...we couldn't WAIT for Season 2 to start, and so far it's been great. Love the show.

If you are a Kristen Bell fan, I recommend tracking down the Showtime movie musical "Reefer Madness." It's amazing to see how talented she is, plus it's a great musical.

I watched Season One on DVD this past fall, and while I enjoyed very much, I'm not really sure its going to be something I'll want to watch the whole season again.

Thanks for everyone's replies. Finished last night. Very strong show. Did not think the final episode was really as good as many of the others, but it never ceases to be very clever, intelligent, witty and expertly plotted. Will wait for Season 2 DVD but will definitely be watching season 3.

Man, you aren't kidding with that statement. I started watching S1 of Veronica Mars last week (and have since caught up to tonight's episode) and each episode she just got cuter and cuter.

Really wished I wouldn't have come to the party so late on this show...it's easily one of the best shows on TV. I'd rank S1 up there with the best seasons of Buffy (my all time fav show). Now I'm wishing I wouldn't have ripped through S1 and caught up on S2 so fast...now I gotta endure a week of waiting between new shows.

I did but after watching season one. I tuned in and got a Big spoiler about the end of Season 1. I also did catch up with plot synopis' and saw a few of the repeats so I didnt have too much trouble last week when new episodes started again.

I watched this a couple of weeks ago. Not a great movie but fun to see Kristen sing.

She was in the first season of Deadwod, in several episodes toward the end of the season.

I discovered Veronica Mars halfway through Season 1 when I was flipping through the channels, saw her, and went "Hello!" I ended up waiting till the DVDs came out, rented them through Netflix, and went through it in about 8 days.

Kristen Bell is now on my Top 5 celebrities I can sleep with and don't get in trouble with my S.O.

Don't we all wish we had a witty smart friend like Veronica??
