HBO's Dream On

Does anybody remember HBO's earlier sitcom "Dream ON." What a great show, I forgot about it for awhile, Unfortunately Netflix does not have it. I have to shop around for the best price.

Yep, I used to watch it during its first run. Good stuff. I wonder why Brian Benben never made it big after that? Of course, he gets to nail Madeline Stowe every night, so he's doing just fine.

Picked up the DVD set when it came out. 1st HBO comedy that set the stage for Sex and the City and such. Outfits and some jokes are dated, but still fun.

I loved a similar HBO show called Mind of the Married Man. Similar in the "male angst' and fantasizing aspects. It was cancelled after two seasons I believe, and season 1 is out on DVD.

Ah, one of the first "tit-coms". It wasn't very good even then, so I can imagine how creaky it is now.

Dream On was a catalyst for Sex in the City, in the same way it was a catalyst for Arli$$.

Didn't really care for the show, but I faked admiration for it when a guy who used to work on the show moved in next door to me.

I remember this one. Although I was probably much too young, I remember watching this sometimes when I was a kid.

I don't know how many seasons that show was on but I remember that the gal in it (who would later play Nina on Just Shoot Me!) won like every single Ace award given to an actress.

Yeah, that Jag gal (Kathrine Bell? Something like that) did an early nude scene on it.

The nudity was the only reason I ever watched it. I didn't have HBO when 1st & 10 was on, but I watched a couple of episodes at my uncle's house and thought it was cool.

I tuned in towards the last season or 2. Courthouse episode with James Woods was hillarious.

Gotta check out the early season sets one of these days.

The first time I actually saw boobs was because of this show. So it holds a special place in my heart. I had heard that it had came out on dvd but i haven't had a chance to get a hold of then as of yet.

I remember once reading that the show was created as a way for the producers to get some use out of the rights to all those old film clips they had access to. Don't know if that's true. I met the kid who played the son a couple years ago as a local con, he was doing that steampunk Jules Verne series at the time. Nice guy.
