Dionne Warwick sounded like crap and looked like Aunt Esther from Sanford & Son.

So any bets on how long until Daughtry trades his wife in for a new model?[/QUOTE]

LOL! I was thinking the same thing! Unless she turns into a Nascar wife and gets it all sucked and tucked!

Elliot and Mary made my ears hurt..

  For Taylor!!

movieking 05-25-06 08:47 AM

What is the story with his wife? Did she have a couple of kids already? As I said, I didn't watch this season, but I saw in one of the videos last night her saying he saved her and her kids or something to that effect.

GuessWho 05-25-06 08:59 AM

She has a couple kids form a previous boyfriend/husband

Chris accepts them as his own and acts as their father

Groucho 05-25-06 09:01 AM

The best moment of both nights (which were excruiating) was when Chris tried to hog the spotlight and Ryan told him to sit back down.

I missed that somehow while trying to take in the three ring circus. When did that happen?

atlantamoi 05-25-06 09:23 AM

Ya know, I was thinking about how some people called that the worst night ever of television. I don't see how anyone with a sense of humor could have hated on that show. It was funny, cheesy, bewildering and at times downright decent.

The response of that Clay-lookalike when Clay walked out was a Tivo rewind moment. You can't beat the Hasselhoff tears. Seeing Meatloaf about to spaz out at the start of his song was mindboggling and then a bit icky as he oogled Kat. Realizing Braxton sings like a man, yet looks unbelievably sexy was a minor revelation (never heard her sing live before). Prince singing a pretty damn good new song to start.

While we did FF through much of the whole cast doing their lame numbers, this show was a lot of fun. More fun than any of the past final shows.

(edit... still strongly dislike Chris' style of music. That twin Live stuff was simply awful.)

Towards the beginning of Tuesday's show.

Yeah, that was just bad, they moved the same way, stood on stage the same.. it was creepy. .

Funniest moment of the night....

Crap. I just deleted that one this morning. I would like to have seen that.

zebop 05-25-06 10:08 AM

LOL@Hasselhoff, he looks like Jerry Stiller.

 That was so painful.

"You've got a great seat. Take it."

zebop 05-25-06 10:43 AM

I hated that part. Although Clay's an "odd bird" he is a talented singer and I was sickened seeing that jackass next to him still singing...

Groucho 05-25-06 10:48 AM

"Mr. Aiken, Tom Hanks is on the line. He wants his crappy haircut back."

Brent_MN 05-25-06 11:17 AM

I think the highlight of the night too, was when Clay Aiken came out and changed that nerd's life forever. It was so great how this kid was trying to mimick every gesture Clay made...I think they turned off his mike for awhile...if not down substantially. In fact, they probably shut that kid off of Clay's monitor entirely. LOL./

hail2dking 05-25-06 11:28 AM

So anyone got a screen cap of Pickler with her zipper down?

Mondo Kane 05-25-06 11:54 AM

Good Day LA said this morning that Hasselhoff was a Katherine fan. So that's why you have tears! :D

It's on youtube. Clay and Clone

Someone please tell me that Clay singing an Elton John/George Michael song was setup. That was so unintentionally humorous to me.

That was Clay's big song that wowed the judges during his season of American Idol. It's one of Simon's favorite songs and he said Clay's performance blew him away.

The irony is just great though given rumors of his sexuality that have pervaded the media for a while.
