Ty was the best 'hands down', but that wasn't saying much. Chris looked like he was on drugs or something and he really wasn't funny. Josh did have the best joke of the night, regarding Gabriel, but he almost blew it because of his handicap. He couldn't get his phone out of his pocket!

If Roz wins this whole thing, I promise you I won't watch another Last Comic Standing. At least Dat Phan (first season) was funny in the beginning before he started repeating all of his jokes over and over again.

And I will say it again, none of these comedians can 'hold a candle' to most of the comedians from the first season. We saw how funny the first season comedians were, not just from their standup, but from their living together. And that to me makes them a better comedian in my mind, since most of their stuff was improvised.

Roz is just pathetic and the people that vote for her, have no idea what comedy is.

Chris

Roz is a harpy. I really don't understand why or how people can stand to listen to her shriek.

I'd rate tonights comics as follows, 1 being the best.

1. Chris
2. Ty
3. Josh
4. Michelle

And thats funny because I think thats the reverse order in which they came on.

Glad Roz is gone because she had a problem. She didn't have any jokes.

There is a God in heaven and he does answer prayers.

Roz!

Um, I would rank tonight's performances as:

1. Ty (Fear Factor/Homeless people)
2. Josh (Paralympics)
3. Chris (Birth Control/L.A. Traffic)
4. Michelle (a bunch of random things)
5. Gary (does he count? )

I really liked Josh's jokes, but Ty had the better set. Michelle was just babbling (I think she figured she was going home and didn't prepare). Chris was off again to me for some reason. His jokes were okay, but they didn't flow very well.

Ty got the standing 'O' this week.

I hope Michelle goes next... I have a hard time picking a fav between the guys.

Next week: Caroline Ray

Big difference this week. Ty killed, and Josh and Chris near-killed. Michelle was really off, and Gary freakin' bombed! On Tourgasm, he talked about questioning whether he's still funny. Good idea.

Hell yes. That was unbelievably bad. He should immediately remove that professor-student bit from his set, it was a looonnng way to go for zero laughs. And I thought he was pretty good on S2.

Chris was good, but didn't he do those Costco casket jokes already this season? If his A material is that limited, I have to go with Ty as winner for the week.

Josh was Josh. Decent material, but still one-note. And the crowd absolutely makes the effort to give him a louder reaction.

Michelle was okay. Most of her stuff seems too forced.

Chris's act has felt forced ever since the one head-to-head he was in where he supposedly used his "best" material. He seems to alternate between stoned comic and angry comic, two genres I'm not a big fan of.

BTW, do you get the idea that NBC is handing out those signs to the audience when they come in the door? I mean ... do people really care enough about anyone in this competition to truly make signs?

Chris seemed really cranky, and his performance seemed off as a result.

As for Gary, I thought the college professor thing was funny, but more in a "mildly amusing" way that is more appropriate for NPR, as opposed to "uproariously hilarious" that you strive for in stand-up.

I still pick Josh to win it all. He's the only one that has made me consistently laugh. Ty was really good though and I'm eager to see more of him.

I had a feeling Josh realized he's probbaly safe at least untilt he finals and was purposefully saving his better material. He wasn't bad, but his set had that "mid-set" feel of material comedians tell in the middle of a longer set. They open big and close big, and do stuff like this in the middle to sustain momentum but give the audience a breather.

People makes signs so they have a better shot of a close-up on TV. Just like football games.

I'm playing devils advocate and saying that the signs were premade and were handed to people as they came in. Some of those signs were so stupid.

A sign for "Roz"? Come on!!!

Didn't particularly like anyone on this episode. Both Josh and Chris have had a couple of weeks of subpar performances, IMO.

Thought all 3 guys had very good sets and Michelle should be the next to go. I think Josh & Chris will be the final 2 unless Ty has another great set.

I am consistently impressed by Ty. I thought Josh or Chris had this thing won from the beginning but I think he could easily steal this competition from them.

That said, all three guys gave good performances this week, I would say

Ty
Chris
Josh
Michelle

All the performances were better than last week though, Josh seemed like he actually remembered his jokes this week.

Glad to see Roz go, I was really worried the audience would keep voting her in.

I find Gary moderately funny when he does just day to day bits, but when he starts into the whole Jewish part of his act, he loses me. It seems like he is starting to use more Jewish humor as well, at least based on appearances that I have send lately. Since Tourgasm seemed to be a younger skewing event, I can't see how well his material would have worked, since I don't really think that the kids eat up that kind of stuff.

His bit on LCS (the teacher/student bit) was actually worse than Jay Davis' TLC killer, if that is even possible.

I missed the show tonight... but I checked NBC.com and they said that only the guys were left. I guess that means Michelle is gone.

Could someone recap the guys' sets and who did better than who?

Please.

Oh, and did they repeat any of their jokes from earlier in the season?

Thankfully, I tivo'd the episode; this allowed me to fast forward through the "filler" material (translated: Jay London and Caroline Rhea's performances. Both VERY stale and unfunny).

Now- on to the recap.
No one repeated any jokes that I remember. However, I thought all 3 of the performances were the weakest of the season, which really suprised me.
Ranking in order:
Ty
Chris
Josh

Jay London evidentally didn't come up with any new material since he was last on the show. I think every joke he told was ones that he used during his season. Even starting off with the 4th guy from the left on the evolutionary chart which I think we've already heard about 3 or 4 times from him.
