That said, I think it's obvious at this point it's either going to be Josh or Chris' show to lose.

I agree with parker63. It seems like Gabriel got caught up in a new relationship, and couldn't stand being out of touch with his new girlfriend. IMO, it doesn't change the scope of the series too much, as Josh and Chris are head and shoulders above everyone else. Chris is by far the best, followed by Josh, then everyone else far far behind.

We all seem to be in agreement about this. Now watch America screw it up and vote someone else as winner, as they did in the first season with Dat Phan.

I'll take Chris over Josh, but would be happy with either of the two.

I thought it was just one more week, and the viewers pick the winner from the five remaining. I could be wrong though.

In the past, hasn't it come down to the final two (or three) comics? On NBC.com, for the next episode they have "Only five comics remain and YOU decide who will be going home!" so there are definitely a couple of more shows left.

Two shows left. Next week we go down to three, then the finale.

I will agree that Chris is the best, but Josh is quite talented.

If so, my pick for the final three are Chris, Josh, and a yet to be determined sub-par comedian (probably Roz).

I know at least in the first season, they knocked off one a week until it was down to five, and then all five faced off in the second-to-last episode and you called in to vote, a la American Idol. On the final episode they eliminated the bottom vote getters one at a time until they revealed the winner.

In season 2 it came down to a final three, and I think it was a final four for season 3.

This show has had the most incosistent format of any show out there.

Mrs. Pusser and I were thinking Chris Porter was tops but his five minutes didn't do that much for us tonight. We also liked Ty in the past but not as much tonight.

Josh is looking like the winner these days.

Michelle has turned out better than I was expecting and I'm tired of Roz's yelling.

Josh was best tonight and probably won the week on the basis of his joke about Gabriel.

Ty was second. Didn't see much of him during the first part of the competition, but he had a good set.

Chris was okay, but not nearly as good as he's been.

Michelle was also okay, she's middling at best.

Say what you will about Roz, but viewers love her. And she got a standing O tonight. Wow!

Josh showed his brilliance tonight with the Gabriel joke. Absolute brilliance. That should be enough to bolt him into the finals.

And now we know why Anthony Clark was chosen as host. The guy was absolutely hilarious tonight ("Our next comic is so old that even Ashton Kutcher won't date her" - ha ha). If he had been in the competition tonight, he might've won hands down.

Everyone pretty much bombed last night, even Porter. Josh was the best without much of an actual set, but he wasn't great. Ty wasn't bad but not as good as last week. Chris and Michelle were way off what we've seen in the past, and Roz was shit. That studio audience must have been heavily medicated, because there wasn't much creativity or unique material on stage.

None of the sets were that great. I'd rank them as follows:

1. Josh
2. Ty
3. Chris
4. Michelle
5. Roz (she should write jokes for other comics, her delivery is terrible)

My guess (hope?) is everybody deliberately gave us "B" & "C" material, so they can bring out the bigger guns as the competition gets steeper.

I agree with Groucho but I'd switch Josh and Ty.

Michelle doesn't do much for me and Roz just needs to go away.

I thought Roz did better with the crowd than most people give her credit for.

I agree that nobody was great last night.

Roz is horrible. That sassy black woman schtick is fucking annoying. Ask Mo'nique why she wasn't won any Academy Awards yet.

I agree with most of the opinions on Roz. However, I thought her material this week was the funniest I have seen her on the show. Her delivery still bites, tho. I'm also sick of all the yelling and the whole "I got problems" over and over.
Chris, who I thought has been the most consistantly funny, sucked. I was really disappointed with his set. He didn't get more than a chuckle out of me.
My votes went to Josh and Ty, who I thought were both great.
What the hell Michelle is still doing there I'll never know. She'll probably win and we'll see another riduculous finish like Season 1. Maybe she's in the Dat Phan Phan-Club?
