Air Times Move Up 20 Minutes in Eastern and Central Time Zones

Has anybody seen what ABC and CBS will do with their schedules? None of the online tv guides seem to be updated yet.

I think I read they won't announce what they're going to do until Monday (morning presume)

Couldn't he have waited until after sweeps?

Of course, so most DVRs won't be updated in time.

This is what I have on my Monday Tivo slate:

Prison Break
24
How I met Your Mother
The Apprentice
Grey's Anatomy
Everwood

The Fox shows have already updated the time in my Tivo guide, and I don't think the WB will be a problem. The Deal or No Deal looks like it has already been shortened so The Apprentice should hopefully start right at 10.

Now I am wondering if I should pad Grey's Anatomy and How I Met Your Mother.

I think I'm going to pad EVERYTHING just incase.. my replaytv shows NBC shows the address 25 minutes long, and FOX 20 minutes.

One thing I will say about the Bush administration is that they are well known for always being on time. Hopefully they won't go past the 20 minutes. I wonder if the NBC time schedule is allowing 5 minutes for commentary afterwards.

My Time Warner DVR is already updated for Fox, but my biggest worry is how much talking might be done after the address. Couldn't this be on a day when there aren't so many shows on?

I'm guessing FOX willl just tell viewers to switch over to FNC for analysis and go straight to Prison Break after the address. But just in case I'm recording the news after 24 so I don't miss anything.

It would certainly be nice to know what the fuck ABC since they have the 2-hour finale of Grey's Anatomy tomorrow night.

I suppose I'll have to pad an extra hour for Prison Break and Grey's just to be safe.

Well, I don't think he can go any lower in public opinion polls. Not unless he somehow pre-empts a baseball or football game.

I'm the decider. I get the make the decision whether I want to listen to Mr. Jumbles ramble on about something or watch 24.

I just heard that Oprah's big "Legends Ball" special ( ) is being moved to next Monday so hopefully that will help with the Grey's Anatomy scheduling.

Amen....

It really pisses me off that he must go on the major networks. If anyone really wants to watch, they can go to one of the other outlets.

As if his approval rating couldn't go any lower. Now he has to piss off the TV loving folk......LOL

What about CBS and How I met your mother, I checked my dvr grid guide and no mention of the Prez speaking. NBC & Fox are already updated.

According to abc.com, they are airing last night's Grey's Anatomy in place of the Oprah thing at 8/7c. So does that mean they are just going to join it in progress or will everything still be delayed?

And cbs.com still has their lineup unchanged as of right now.

I think I would actually rather watch the president's boring-ass speech than sit through a 2-hour Deal Or No Deal.

As mentioned, ABC is airing last night's Grey's Anatomy, which will by joined in progress at 8:20pmET/7:20 CT. They'll have a 30-second voice-over when they start Grey's Anatomy to explain what happened in the first 20 minutes. The full 60-minute version of Grey will air in the Mountain/Pacific time zones.

CBS has NOT announced plans to air tonight's speech.

To all those with DVRs, here is a novel idea. Watch the show live for once and you don't have to worry about missing parts. Just turn on Fox at 8:15 & mute it and do something else until you see the show is starting. Remember, there is nothing keeping the speach at 20 minutes. No channel is going to cut off the President to show a show.

Not everyone is able to do that. I work evenings and get home at 10:15pm (although I have a feeling I'll be working late tonight). So recording shows I want to watch is the only way I can see them. Thus by padding tonight, I can make sure of seeing the whole episodes.
