Heroes had 6.5 million fewer viewers than Dancing with the Stars, but beat it 6.1 to 5.1 in the 18-49...seems impressive to my uneducated ass.

Nice to see Law & Order: CI get a bump up in the ratings for the *Season finale* episode but a fricken' repeat of CSI: Miami still beat it in its respective timeslot.

Idol continues to sink.
I thought NCIS would have got a million or two more viewers for the *Season finale* but still good #'s for the show.
Law & Order: SVU took third place in its respective timeslot for the first time in a long time due to the Jesse Stone movie with Tom Selleck who i can't wait to see on Las Vegas next season.

So, Lost's numbers go up dramatically during the second hour against much weaker competition.
And considering the ending, it will be interesting to see how many people tune in next January for the premiere and if questions are not answered immediately, how many will be watching a month after that.

My guess is the premiere will get around 15m viewers and leveling off to 11-12m per week if it remains at 10pm (of course I thought I read it's going to 8pm, but I don't remember where I read that).

I think the 16 episode format will help the series immensely.

I think the 16 episode format will help the series immensely.
It will leave less room for 'filler' eps & each ep will be more intresting and will move along the story at a faster pace and will probally help the rating out because people will know that after 2, 16 episode seasons the show will come to a conclusion.
33.16 m people watched the season finale of American Idol?-how sad. I wish death apon all reality shows exept for Hell's Kitchen which returns June 4th!

All it does is drag the show out for an extra season, IMO.

I would have rather that they use the "24" format: start in January and run a 2-hour premiere, and then 20 weekly episodes, and finish up with another 2-hour finale in May. That gives us 2 more seasons, and no need to drag it out for a third season.

Sad to see ER take third in its respective timeslot esp.
It's sad to see that Primetime now has 2 days out of the week that don't get many viewers.
i think sadly FOX will just drop the show.
Of course CBS really have never treated the KOQ's that great over its nine season run which is sad
CSI doesn't have the viewers it used to a couple weeks ago which is sad
I guess sadly we can pretty much as goodbye to Law & Order: CI
Say goodbye to Crossing Jordan sadly.
Sadly the NBC comedies fall under the 'Ahead of its time' category.
Sad to see raines do so poor thats all i have to say!
Sad to see christine get the shaft through it did better than last week
Thank god you're here loses the audience, a common trend with NBC shows sadly.
Sad to see Dateline NBC: 'to catch a car thief' take the 4th spot because of it.
Friday night lights gets beat by George Lopez thats sad that a show like that beat it.
actually its sad that people watch america's next top model
a fantastic episode of CSI last night placed first, Sadly 2 of the best shows on thursday did not
Great night for television, sad to see 30 Rock lose alot of viewers
i would have liked to have seen 30 Rock #1 but sadly thats not going to happen
the office sadly got its lowest ratings this year with
I am happy that 30 rock got decent ratings but i am so sad at the ratings scrubs got this week
i am sad to see 2 great shows do poor.
NBC's great comedies sadly don't do very well in the ratings.
Overall there were good shows on last night but sadly alot of them didn't do well in the ratings.
The best show in my opinion on friday's, Raines gets worse ratings week by week sadly.
My favorite new show Raines sadly isn't standing up to well in the ratings,

Maybe Primetime Ratings really mean that much to him. I won't miss a chance to point out that this was the guy that predicted there'd be less than 10 million viewers watching Lost by season's end. So the fact that final numbers say 13.9m with 15.6m in the last half hour could possibly be something to be happy about.

It's going to take most of us 8 months to process that mind-blowing cliffhanger anyway, I don't mind too much. I'll be on holiday in the (Northen Hemisphere) fall when the show'd usually be coming back so it doesn't bother me.

The dull TV days of summer are upon us. I'm not going to post timeslot breakdowns or the demo numbers... To make them standout, new programs are in "Blue".
Also, I think I'll let this thread go through the summer and start a "Season 2" of Primetime TV Ratings thread once the 2007-08 season starts. What do you think?
