NBC must have not liked Raines very much, introducing an unestablished show to a dead time spot = horrible idea.

NBC's Ratings Fall to Historic Low
Last Thursday -- a night NBC once called Must See TV night -- NBC recorded its lowest ratings during a regular season in its history, trade reports indicated today (Monday). Dreadful numbers for comedy shows My Name Is Earl, The Office, 30 Rock, and Scrubs, also pulled down the ratings for E.R., which attracted its smallest audience ever -- 9.24 million viewers compared with 14.49 million for CBS's Shark. On Saturday, the final two episodes of the NBC sitcom Andy Barker, P.I. attracted only 3.2 million viewers, one of the lowest ratings for any network television show during a regular season in history.

NBC has only themselves to blame with the long break for Earl and ER. It was almost 2 months between new episodes.

I have Drive recorded but those numbers make me wonder if it's even worth watching.

As much as I enjoy NBC's comedies, the network may need to rethink the way they are making sitcoms. Their comedies may have generally high quality, but they just aren't attracting viewers. Perhaps the shows are a little too hip for their own good.

Not unexpected numbers for "Drive," but disappointing anyway as I really liked it. "To be cancelled too soon" was practically written in the ads. Hell, I almost didn't watch for just that reason.

That ER Bombed due to Low Lead-in thing is rubbish, Lead-in plays a role in making a show bigger, but its had a low rated lead-in for ages now.

Drive's overall viewership stunk, but it's premiere was up against some Sunday heavyweights. IMO, the only thing that can keep this show alive is the 18-49 demo and it seemed to do fairly decent in that department.

^ Just wait till it moves to Monday's against Dancing with the Stars... I doubt it'll do Prison Break numbers (around 8m viewers/week IIRC). But who knows.

Housewives continues its' slip. Up a bit from last week but still far off its' usual pace.

I was dissapointed with the ratings from last nights episodes, because they were so entertaining... but the true test will be tonight (when its up against less stiff-competition).
