Wow THE OC and ONE TREE HILL getting virtually the same ratings... ouch for THE OC, and awesome for ONE TREE HILL. I guess its finally time for FOX to move out of the Teensoap genre...

This pisses me off. I wish that the CW would have at least aired the rest of the Runaway episodes that were in the can since the Smallville repeat isn't faring any better ratings-wise than Runaway was getting in that slot.

I miss that show.

Not liking the continuing decline in Veronica Mars viewership... but I can't think of anything to do to improve it. It's a good timeslot. I see ads for it a lot. Both previous seasons are out on DVD. It just *should* be doing better.

I also fail to see the appeal of Dancing with the Stars. I may consider watching a 1-hour clipshow that summarizes the whole thing. But it amazes me that 20+ million people tune in every week. I've flicked it on before and it's like watching paint dry with all of the filler material.

Finally, I'm going to be *very* curious to see how Day Break does next week. ABC may end up regretting the decision to split Lost into 2 uninterrupted runs.

I highly doubt that... 'Lost' is a great series IMO but it doesn't have any real rewatchable value... and this gives ABC a way to find a good enough to to pair with LOST in maybe the 10 o'clock hour...

so what is ABC replacing dancing with the stars with? King of Queens and According to Jim?

Those are not good numbers for Veronica Mars.

It did improve some what from last week, although not much. At least for the most part, the ratings have been steady, and hasn't slowly dropped in ratings. Also remeber that this show has a huge arc and at times may be consitered difficult for new viewers to tune in at random. (or maybe the subject of rape is a turn off for viewers, even though CW isn't really advertising that aspect of the show in terms of ads for the show, they usually mention whatever the mystery of the week is if there is one.)

If viewers don't return to LOST in February in adequate numbers, this move of splitting up the season after only a handful of episodes will look downright suicidal.

I'm always surprised at the numbers that CM pulls. I hear good things and good reviews, but it just doesn't look like something I can get into. I'll be returning to Lost in Feb, but those are some pretty huge numbers for CM. This decision could be a real precident for future decisions for splitting up the seasons. Right now it's not looking good for Lost. It doesn't help that I didn't find the cliffhanger all that interesting, I am now pretty curious about it's return.
