Whatever you think of it (and I think it came off just fine, Veronica on the roof excepted perhaps), I think it's clear that this was planned by the time they introduced Dick and Beaver last year.

To tell you the truth, I expected more for the finale and I was underwhelmed by this episode.

Beaver being the culprit was too obvious and kind of dissapointed that the writers went this route.

However, I do like how they resolved the Aaron Echolls plot.

And whats the deal with Charisma Carpenter? What was in the briefcase? It was implied that it was money, but I find it hard to believe that any amount of money would make him stand up his daughter at the airport.

So, just thinking, here are the lingering mysteries I can think of for next year:

1 - Kendall's Briefcase - will likely get solved in the first episode
2 - The College Rapist
3 - Weevil's Arrest
4 - What does Meg's family have to do with the Goodmans?

This ending did not have the same impact for me as last season who was at the door? ending.

That was a "WOW!" ending - so much info, it seemed rushed. I liked all the tie-ins back to Season 1.

So Beaver did it! (I did not see that one coming)

Was Kendall in the room when Aaron got whacked?

Is Lamb dead?

Given that the Shelly Pomroy party was over 2 1/2 years ago at this point, how did Veronica go for that long without finding out she had chlamydia? And did she give it to Duncan? And did he give it to Meg? And did she give it to the baby? (...if that's possible, that is)

I thought the Jackie twist was ridiculous - like some far flung thing TPTB pulled out of their collective arse (...but at least she's finally off the show).

And any speculations as to what was in the briefcase at the end? (It couldn't be just a lot of $$$ - Keith isn't one to be wowed by that, so it must be something else.)

I don't see the writers pursuing this angle next season.

Really? I didnt care about who was at the door. It didnt seem important to me. I enjoyed this years "cliffhanger" a little bit more.

OK, I misunderstood that. I thought Lamb was there for the transfer and ordered Keith off the plane.

My mind's eye can already picture the scene next year where Weevil uses a prison call to ask Veronica to prove his innocence. It's going to happen.

idiot me couldn't tell, was that weevel who kille aaron? All I have to say about it is CW, for the love of god, please give us season 3. All in all, a great episode.
Also, in this weeks ew, they spoiled the fact that woody wasn't the killer, but they didn't mention who.

Unless they're going to drop Weevil as a character (which would be a huge mistake IMHO), they're going to have to deal with getting him out of jail.

As to what was in the suitcase, since Beaver was involved with Kendall, I'll go ahead and speculate it was a bomb, perhaps surrounding something that would incriminate Kendall.

No, it was the guy who was head of security at Kane software.

What's funny is that I thought you had the answer there for a second due to the CW reference.

It was Clarence Wiedman who killed AE.

Is it possible that Duncan orchestrated certain elements of the trial (having Kendall use his hair to suggest him as a possible suspect again) to get the not guilty verdict to allow him to avenge his sister's death?

Aaron asked her to do that.

Just a thought on my part, at any rate.

Even if that is what Aaron asked her to do, somebody hooked the two of them up. We know Duncan and Kendall were alone together prior to that. He might have set their meeting up.

That rooftop resolution was staged so awkwardly.

I figured that Keith wouldn't be on the plane (figures that Lamb would want to take credit for the collar and it keeps Keith from getting blown up in the process).

So we have another mystery with Keith and Kendall for the summer that won't be touched upon unless the show returns in the fall. Gak!

Isn't Beaver in the credits as the one with the body in chalk outlines?

I still doubt that. Kendall and Aaron most likely already knew each other since their kids were best friends and they acted familiar towards each other in the jail scene a few episodes ago.

Yeah, but later in the episode we saw her getting hair from Duncan's shower drain.

Would have been pretty funny if she'd accidentally gotten her OWN hair instead, though and implicated herself in the murder.

I know a fair number of people who have been in jail at one point or another. Do you know how many of them I have visited? Since Kendall is a con artist, there was an angle she was working. It could just be helping Aaron to make sure she gets/stays rich. It could also be getting Aaron out of legal trouble for the Kanes to have their revenge. Given the deliberate order of Kendall-Aaron sex followed by his death, it makes me think there was supposed to be a connection.

Did we got an explanation for why Curlie had Veronica's name written on his hand?
