Count me in as another who will try to dump GG. After this season, I'm tired of the characters.

I am interested in seeing what the Gilmore Girls do next season without the Palladinos.

I dropped Desperate Housewives and OC this year and may get rid of Smallville next year. Perhaps Lost too.

Of the shows I'm watching, none really. As for ER, I missed the first episode and then all subsequent episodes for this season. I wasn't planning to but in the middle of the season, I just couldn't get into it anymore.

Me too... if by "interested" you mean "terrified".

I don't know if Lost will keep my interest... I deleted maybe 5 or 6 eps this year without bothering to watch 'em, after reading the spoilers in the weekly threads. It's starting to seem like a daytime soap, where you can catch half of it and not miss much due to the glacial pacing. On the other side of the coin, I've picked Invasion back up. I dropped Desperate Housewives halfway through the first year.

About the only things I'm excited to watch this summer are the HBO dramas and Tennant's Dr. Who. I've gone fatalistic about the US networks--I rarely even bother sampling new shows anymore. Unless it's got amazing word-of-mouth and indications of longevity, I'm not investing my time. I've seen enough uncompleted half-stories, thanks.

Amazing--EXACT same here!

Also I'm done with Survivor after this one...just sick of it, and I need to weed some out. I added The Unit, which I think is fantastic, so Survivor is the first voted out for me...

Same here. I dumped Survivor a few episodes into this season. It just got incredibly boring to me. I also dumped Desperate Housewives in a similar manner.

I'm really borderline on Family Guy as well. It may just get the axe in a few weeks.

Plus, The Apprentice may not make it back onto my TiVo next season. This current season has sucked donkey balls, and I'm not sure how much more of The Donald I can take.

OC is gone, but that's okay as Schwartz has indicated the present cast's storyline will be resolved and a new cast, focusing on Marissa's sister (so forgettable I can't even remember her name) will be at the forefront.

Desperate Housewives I will give three episodes into the new season. If it doesn't go back to feel of Season One, it's gone.

I just dump shows as I get sick of them. If I make it to the end of the season with a show it'll assuredly stick around for the next season.

Yeah, I've been borderline with a few shows. Smallville goes off on crappiness spurts but then pulls me back in. I've actually quit this show three times int he past and caught back up with it later.

Supernatural and Bones get backed up on my DVR a lot, but once Supernatural kicks in with the 'storyline' eps I'm hooked. If anything I would just skip the non-serial episodes, depending on what the Monster of the Week was. Bones is something I don't feel compelled to watch right away, but I can enjoy them in any order so I just watch them at my leisure.

I'm actually surprised that the Survivor craze has gone on this long.

I've picked up more shows this year than I have dumped. I always wait to buy the Sopranos on DVD as I am still watching Season 5 and will just buy Season 6 when it comes out. Then maybe I will be able to watch it live if there is a Season 7.

I started watching Invasion, got bored with it after a couple of episodes so I bailed. Same with Bones and House. I did pick up The Unit though and NCIS this year. Good thing too as there is nothing on Tuesdays now that they have moved Commander in Chief and probably cancelled it. Sad...

OH, and the one show that I miss the most that's not on anymore thanks to Deal or No Deal (blah!) is E-Ring. Here's to hoping it comes back next year with a vengeance, although I fear it won't. I also like In Justice and am afraid it's not going to reprise itself either. Oh well...

I dumped everything this season that I wasn't enjoying (Gilmore Girls and That 70's Show in particular.) And I just dumped South Park, as my wife watched two of the three episodes on the Tivo and told me they were really stupid. I realized I didn't have much desire to keep watching it.

We just got back into the Simpsons this year, as well as watching 24 and Smallville again (after dumping them last season), so I think we'll stick with the current lineup, while adding the Fox shows that will be cancelled in a few episodes when the next season starts up again.

These are the shows that came into the year:

American Idol
24
Desparate Housewives
The OC
House
Lost

Added this year: Greys Anatomy

Might drop after this year: Lost.

Already dropped Desperate Housewives and The Unit.

Maybe The Apprentice. I only watched it because my brother worked on it, and now that he doesn't I dunno if I'll continue after this season. I enjoy it but...I don't know. I'll check out the first few episodes anyway.

Thinking about dropping Grey's Anatomy. I'm just not feeling it anymore (Meredith's incessant whining doesn't help things).

My wife and I say we'll dump The Real World every year. Probably won't happen though.

The West Wing will be gone, and I plan not to add any new shows to my viewing schedule.

to all those dropping the OC.

I remember posting in the Star Wars TV thread that the OC wouldn't last more than either this year or next and I was nearly crucified by at least a half dozen people who thought it was the greatest show in the history of mankind. So to those involved:

It WAS a great show its first season. I'm not an O.C. apologist though. It's been crap since last season, and I've never hesitated to call it out.

Its already pretty much been dropped. after their 3-4 week absence..then come back with the 'rose' episode, where there was 2 seconds of actual story progression, followed up by a 'new' clip show.

Its old, and Its moving too slowly..I just dont care about it much anymore.

I gave up Lost after about five episodes this season, though I'll pick up the DVDs in the hope it plays better one episode after another.

I've just about given up on 24, what with the interminible "bad guy steals MacGuffin, good guy steals it back" plotline, and the idiocy of characters not backing up files that will determine the future of the United States. I'll stick with it through the rest of the season, but the writing needs to improve significantly to get me back next year.

Bones is a show I've been watching for the past few weeks, but it's still in the category of "watch it if its on" and not "tune in every Wednesday at 8:00."

Desperate Housewives.

Never has a show fallen from my graces as it has.

I'd like to dump CSI: Miami just for Caruso but I do like the other characters.

Looking forward to finally getting HBO and seeing the Lucky Louie premiere...
