I still don't see how they can bring Walt back onto the show. The kid who played him must have changed a lot in the last two years, even for this show that would be to much. I think Michael was captured and let go with a deal from the Others. I don't think the Others are going to hold up there end of the deal they are just using Michael.

I know, Walt has to look a ton older. It would've been cool if they knew just what was going to happen with him a year ago, and they could've filmed a few scenes with him long ago...but I'm sure that type of thing wouldn't work.

"Walt" was on "My Name is Earl" last month, and he's probably about 3"-4" taller, and definitely looks older than his last appearance on Lost.

Fantastic episode. I had been starting to like M-Rod's character after we got to know more about her. And damn she turns me on besides. Oh well, at least Sun is still there.

I don't understand the "brainwashed" comments. Michael was clearly anguished by what he did. He knows it's not right. If he were brainwashed, that wouldn't be the case. Michael isn't a convert, he's being blackmailed.

He did this for one very obvious reason. "I'm going to get my boy back." I doubt he found the Others. They found him. They told him Walt is safe, but that unless he kills Ana Lucia and frees Henry, he will never see his son again. So Michael is going along with their plan... for now. I think he is also looking for an opportunity to doublecross them. And that's why he's hoping no one ever finds out what he did--because if they do, all of it will be for nothing.

Of course, Libby will be unconscious for awhile until it's dramatically convenient, and then she'll awaken and reveal what happened (and she might live or die at that point), and Michael will be screwed.

Edit: Do you ever go back and read something you wrote and go, "What the hell?" My excuse: 4 hours of sleep and a hangover.

I think that's why they reduced the actor's role in the first place. I read that somewhere. Why they didnt think of that before the cast him, I dont know.

Probably because they half expected to get cancelled pretty soon.

^In one of the podcasts they said they have a plan for explaining Walt's jump in height/puberty/etc. What that means

I think it was a lie as well. How many adults have they taken? A couple from the tallies and none from the Swan group. Except for Claire and she was returned.

Nope. C.Cuse & D.Lindelof vehemently deny this. It is a running gag on the podcasts. Once you are dead in Lost you are dead. No zombies.

Well there are only a few episodes left. They take on average 10-14 days to make 1 episode so they probably wrapped the season about a month ago.

Interesting take, but they haven't shown any of the "others" in the flashbacks unless Desmond is an "other" for sure.

Killer episode, great cliff hanger and yes, the Sawyer not missing his gun bothered me as well.

She escaped, and Ethan tried to get her back. The Others weren't done with her.

Well, one of the Dharma projects is Life Extension, so maybe we won't see Walt for another season or two, but he'll have aged a lot in a few weeks/months of the show's time. Maybe part of the Life Extension project involves artificially aging someone, or whatever they do to try and give someone longer life causes them to temporarily age faster (i.e. a growth spurt, if it happens to be a child). I dunno, just a thought.

Anyway, solid episode. Anyone else think that Hurley's going to end up killing Michael? Or at least contemplate killing Michael, only to have Sayid talk him out of it (since they now share the connection of losing a loved one on the island)?

Hmmm....

Besides the obvious Abrams connection, MI3's hero is Ethan Hunt. Lost had a character named Ethan Rom.

Ethan Hunt is played by Tom Cruise. Ethan Rom was played by William Mapother, who is Tom Cruise's cousin.

From a couple of articles I've read, it sounds like they have been shooting the finale over the past week or so. I would guess that they're about done. I know they claim that anything that happened was planned out in advance, but it sure is a little bit funny, in a J. Walter Weatherman, "and THAT'S WHY you don't drink and drive during the season!" kind of way that the two drunkies were the ones that took bullets.

Is the finale going to be two hours long?

I'm sure Libby will survive at least a little while. That's the reason she had those blankets conveniently placed in front of her so the bullets could slow down a bit and not cause so much damage. There's more backstory of her to come for sure.

Yep, two hours of supposed greatness.

Now, does anyone have that Canadian promo link?

i was thinking the same thing...seems like there'd be flash burns or whatever since the gun was only inches away.

perhaps too much CSI

Don't be surprised if she was carrying a serving tray behind those blankets for her picnic

If the Others have targeted Ana Lucia for execution for killing two of their own -- as evidenced by Fenry trying to kill her Michael apparently succeeding -- where does that leave Eko and Charlie, who have also killed Others?

I have a feeling that Michael did cut some kind of deal with the Others over Walt. I also wonder if Michael and Fenry don't already know each other. Maybe he, Michael, and Mr. Friendly were hanging out together before Fenry got captured by Danielle.

Yeah, Michael did seem pretty horrified at dumping bullets into Libby -- either it was because she was just an innocent bystander, or Michael knew that she was an Other.

Kate knew that the Others abandoned the hatch they held Claire in, but she had also figured out that the Others were using the ragged clothes and fake beards to disguise their actual nature when they left the confines of their hatch.

Given that, what Michael was saying could be on the level. He never claimed to have had any contact with them, only observed them. He could've just been observing their disguises.

Also, I'm curious as to what, exactly Michael's mission was. Execute Ana-Lucia? (And, what about Eko and Charlie?) Free Fenry? (Fenry indicated that his people would cut him off since he failed in his mission, which would contradict Michael freeing him. If that what was doing.) Or is he to act as a Judas Goat to lead the survivors into a trap set by the Others? I suppose it's also possible that he could be acting on his own, trying to force a confrontation between the survivors and the Others.

Interesting that Dr. Sheperd nicknamed Ana-Lucia "Sarah," like his daughter-in-law.

And speaking of Walt, anyone notice how he stopped appearing after Shannon died? It wasn't just Shannon who was seeing him; Sayid saw him as well.

Well the person who would most likely notice that fact (the cop), is now DEAD!

Asking the same question three times within a span of 10 posts is a little overkill. I'm sure if/when someone has the link you're after, they'll post it.

Now I'm thinking maybe Michael was told to take out Ana-Lucia and bring back Libby because she's on their side. That's why he was so horrified to accidently shoot her. He went in with 'Henry' to blast himself so it would look like he shot all three of them. But 'H' would likely know Libby and it wouldn't make sense to kill her. Either way, Michael won't get his deal for Walt now, if that's what it was. Libby has to be part of the Dharma psych team who was undercover at the hospital to recruit Hugo by planting the numbers guy there and observing them.

Who the fuck is Fenry? Is the 'H' busted on your keyboard?

Interesting point about Walt. Leads more credence to those that think Sayid was just agreeing with Shannon to appease her vs. him actually seeing Walt.
