Not Taylor's best night.

I see Paula did not take her meds tonight.

Where did that frog come from (around 40 seconds into Taylor's song)? I really have gotten tired of the neck snap after Taylor pulls off a big or long note. Otherwise, he did over-sing the song when he needed to caress it, and again, draw us into the desperation of that song's core, but instead he went bombastic and became more off-putting than he intended to be tonight.

I loved the looks on Taylor's friends faces, they were like, "Dude, that's so gay."

Wow no one really impressed tonight.

Damn, Chris or the guitars had me breathing unsteadily (in a good way) throughout most of that song, that was a really nice performance of a classic ballad. I dug it most out of the 6 performance tonight.

I think I liked that the best too.

Overall, I'm going with Elliott as the best, but Chris was a very close second.

I'll read comments later, but the judges sucked tonight. Katherine was the best with a BULLET and honestly, everyone else was terrible. Chris was completely overshadowed by the arrangement and didn't do crap. Taylor was utterly forgetable. Paris can sing, but she missed the song tonight. Kellie sucked for the 2nd week. Elliot was OK at best - plus I heard it before. And he sang NOWHERE near Jeffrey Osborne.

I am voting for the first time, any season, tonight - for McPhee.

How can this poll say that Elliot is going home? Does anyone even bother to listen to the songs?

Best of the evening, IMO, Chris!! That was a great version of that song, and I can't wait to hear it again. He deserves to win this thing!
Almost tied for best, but, maybe not as good as Chris was Elliot. He brought it home tonight. Didnt move me to tears, but that was his breakout performance. He sounded great!
I would have to put Paris and Katherine as tied. I thought they both sang like they always do, trying to sing bigger than they are.

Pickler was awful! She is out of her league. Finally, the judges told the truth about her. She sings without emotion, cant sing in tune for a whole song, and had peaked about 3 weeks ago. Please let her go home!

David Foster would make a great judge!! Love how he had Chris lay down to sing.

IMO, there was a major fall off from 3rd to 4th place tonight. 4-6 were just plain bad.

Pickler fans simply cannot let her stay in for another week. That was truly an awful performance. The last few notes were decent (and notice that's what AI focused on), but she was off for most of the song.

Taylor - pretty bad. I like him, but that was not a very good performance.

Chris - pretty good. I wasn't too thrilled about this guy in the beginning, but I 'm starting to like him.

Elliot - pretty good. Like Simon said, didn't like the arrangement but he sang it great. I just wish the band would back off a bit sometimes.

Paris - I just don't like her and the way she sings. It's really annoying to me. Technically she's not bad, but I can't watch her anymore. Something about how she enunciates. Hate the song too.

Katherine - Looked hot, and the buttons popping was an added bonus (yay TiVo). But the song wasn't good. She sang it ok, but it's hard to sing Whitney and make it memorable because Whitney always put so much emotion into it.

Paris bored me to tears and I have to agree with Shilex in that I just don't like anything about Paris.

Katherine was great, but it's obviously the week to throw her under the bus.

Taylor annoys the piss out of me, and has since Week 1. Hopefully that "performance" will put him in the bottom 3, at least.

Chris was great as usual -- kind of a foregone conclusion.

ELLIOT, however, has moved me, not to tears (Paula, you psycho!), but to actually vote for the first time this season! I hope that the busy signals I'm constantly getting at this point are a good sign for him!

And then there's fucking Pickler! Thanks judges for giving the comments that will rally the mindless cattle to vote, vote, VOTE for Pickler! Ugh!! She fooled me in the first weeks, but now I'm just sick to death of her and her hair and her twang and her fakeness and that "voice" coming right out the corners of her eyes -- could she vocalize a little higher into her empty, echoing head? Again I say, UGH!! Pickler, go the hell home!
