My Name Is Earl -- "the Bounty Hunter" -- 04.06.2006

"the Bounty Hunter"

In order to protect Joy (Jaime Pressly), Earl (Jason Lee) finds himself in desperate need to take care of number forty-five on his list, "ditched Jessie (guest star Juliette Lewis, "Cape Fear") to marry Joy." When Jessie, Earl's ex-girlfriend, returns to town hell bent on seeking revenge against Joy for causing Earl to leave her and knocking out her front teeth, Earl and Joy seek refuge in a lakeside retreat. Jessie, however, cleverly weasels the secret location out of Randy (Ethan Suplee) enabling her to continue her pursuit. Nadine Velazquez and Eddie Steeples also star.

You mean Giovanni Ribisi? How'd you get Paul out of that?

I have hope that Juliette will recur. Maybe she can even bring Brad Pitt in somehow. They play trash well together.

I've always like Gioanni Ribisi. Every since I first noticed him on The X-Files (D.P.O.).

Paul Ribisi I love it. So with next weeks being the last episode of season, does that mean that the dvd will be here soon ?

That fight scene was classic, especially thanks to the soundtrack. I only wish they had paid a little more homage to tGtBatU by giving us a series of increasingly tight close-ups on Joy's and Jessie's eyes.

I hope they do a "My Name is Earl" soundtrack album.

Maybe they did have something like that in the episode but it got cut for time. If so, maybe it will make the DVD.

I agree about the soundtrack. I just about think they have to if there's a prayer for that music to make the DVDs.

This was a great focus on Joy episode, though I worry that they may have changed the Earl-Joy dynamic a little too much for season one with that sweet moment.

That was my worry too, jimmy james. In fact, I was hoping the whole "you've done enough" scene was just her setting up Earl for something evil.

I loved how they showed Randy's "fish on" move on the dance floor again.

I was dying when they were playing with the toy motorcycle and it gets stuck in his hair. Those toys were always good at that.

Nah, way way too cliched.

"Third row? That's close enough to get sweat on!"

Not too much Randy tonight.

I agree with the music.

I think the music used for that segment was not from tGtBaTU, I believe it was from the end of For A Few Dollars More.

Even the line where Joy tells Earl that she will handle it is what Lee Van Cleef's character says to Clint Eastwood.
