Shamrock is so full of himself. Tito is proving he IS the better man.

I was very surprised at how well Tito handled himself in the premiere ep. I've been a little iffy about him in the past, but I thought he handled himself like a real class act last night. As someone else said, I like his coaching style a lot better than Shamrock's. Plus, with him getting in there with the contestants, they will get more of a taste of what it's like to go up against a UFC great. Also, if I were on Shamrock's team, I wouldn't be liking the fact that he comes right out and says that he's not very talented on submissions, but then doesn't even have a submissions coach on staff.

Seemed like most of the fighters wanted to be picked by Tito. I agree with Shamrock's team frustration at not having a submissions coach. Ken deciding to bring in a Bodybuilder/nutritionist as one of his 2 assistant coaches rather than a BJJ specialist doesn't make any sense.

Figured I would give this sucker a bump. This is my first time watching the series and I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far.

I totally love the way Tito gets under Shamrocks skin. There seems to be some genuine hatred between these two dudes. Most weeks Tito's guys seem to be pegged as under-dogs, but they keep getting the win.

Soloman was talking alot of smack last night, so it was kind of funny to see him be the one getting knocked out. When he woke up he didn't even know who had won the fight.

I really though there were some good fighters this season, but the fights have been very one-sided and really have looked unskilled to me. I'm suprised the fighting hasn't been better.

I'm still amazing these guys get so bombed on booze, knowing of the upcoming training the next day etc.

Both fighters last night looked pretty weak.

Yeah, and he even asked, "Who won?"
"Let's see--even though you were knocked out and have no idea what happened, YOU won!" Sure...

I love this show and canNOT wait for the coaches' match...

Each week, Tito just proves he's a better coach and more likeable than Shamrock.

It was a pleasure to see Soloman loss the fight. The guy talked so shit, went in there with too much confidence and wasted all his energy trying to take Roy out.

Actaully the fights have been the best of the previous seasons IMHO. Previous years have been nothing but hug feasts which many going the distance while this year we are getting a KO or submission every time. Still some good fighters to come and the semis and finals should be great. Great season so far.

I love this season as much as the other ones. Great stuff again. But I end up watching these on Saturday nights, so I have to avoid hearing all the info until I see it each Saturday.

Solomon's trash talk was all in good fun with a smile on his face. Rory was just being a sensitive prick.

I agree 100%, and I cant wait until they fight again...

I actually though Solomon was going to win because Rory looked real unsure of himself. I think he got lucky when the knee connected, because he looked uncomfortable in there.

This season is much better than season 2. In season 2, almost all the fights went 3 rounds with judge scoring. Also, I didn't see any real hard blows because they seem to be in friendly term.

Yeah, I think Roy got lucky too. It was Soloman's fight to lose. He got too cocky and confidence. Blew all his energy in the first round.

Kind of pissed off at last night's episode. We didn't even see a fucking match because the hour was taken up with pussyboy Rory crying about going home to his girlfriend.

I know the show can be edited to show whatever the producers want, so why are they going out of their way to make Shamrock look like such a boob?

I think you mean pussyboy Noah. "I would give the world to this girl". Sure buddy, you only dated the girl for 6 months and she can't even trust you if you're cheating.

Right, I confuse the names a lot. Dana White gets very pissed when someone drops out like this.

Yeah, Noah is crazy lame. You could see how pissed Tito was at him for throwing this away. I nearly busted a gut when they revealed what the problem was. His gf thinks he's cheating? Get outta here. If I were a MMA fighter I would be trying to win the whole thing sure, but a lot of these guys still make it to the UFC if they don't win. So if you have a good showing you increase your chances of getting a contract of some kind. If this is really a dream of his, he just pissed over all of his exposure.

Am I wrong or is this the first episode that Danny got more than 3 seconds of air time? I forget that he is even on the show.

And yeah, Shamrock is coming of terrible in this season.

i think in shamrocks case, its pretty similar to the way they portrayed matt hughes in the last season. by the end of it, he is sort of "redeemed" and shown in a more respectable light. besides, despite how laid back shamrock is coaching them, most of the contestants should already be properly trained and ready to fight. these guys should have all the tools needed, and the coaches should simply be fine-tuning them. if they dont have the skills to win before coming into the show, then a week or so of training wont suddenly make them a champ.

but i agree that ortiz is a better coach, and i came in as a shamrock fan and see myself switching to tito's side

Incredibly lame that they didn't end the ep. w/the usual fight. This ain't The Real World, and I don't care to spend an hour watching some guy cry over his girlfriend. (BTW, if he didn't do it he'd stay; if he did do it he'd quit the show to run to her and "give her the world").

So who's coming back??

I cannot believe that shit. That was beyond ridiculous, I still don't even understand who wrote the note. A friend of his who talked to his girlfriend who heard that she heard he may be cheating???? The guy already won a damn fight... he was ONE FIGHT AWAY from being the main event on a live SpikeTV event. Even if you lose that fight you're on the fast track to be a player in the UFC. I'm glad he left, then again I'm also glad he tapped Jesse (I think that was his name), arrogant young little shit that he was. I hope it's not Solomon though, he JUST left. His cardio obviously sucked and he said that himself. He didn't have enough time to recover, so all they have to do is put him in there with somebody that can hold on for a round and it's over. Does anybody remember what team Jesse was on? His loss seemed like the biggest fluke type win, so if he was on Team Shamrock I wouldn't be surprised to see him again.

And I can't blame them for not having a fight this week. I assume that the schedule for the entire show was eliminating one guy a week, and technically Noah eliminated himself. I thought it was getting a little late for the fight with about 10 minutes left, and it sucked, but not that big a deal to me.

And I was completely in Shamrock's camp pre-show, but Ortiz is without question the better trainer. I don't care how many people Shamrock has trained, I'm more interested in how many great fighters his retarded ass kicked out of camp. I used to be a huge Shamrock fan, but I just don't think that this is a slam piece by the producers. It's giving a good insight into his terrible lack of confidence and borderline narcissism. How many times has he missed a practice or threatened to not show? I don't care how they edit it (unless it's totally biased, but I doubt it, I bet they would have preferred to show Shamrock in a better light than Ortiz) but Ortiz has never missed a session. I also hope that deaf Mike gets his ass rocked, I cannot stand that guy. He needs THREE OR FOUR DAYS OFF????? Eh, I love this show, always look forward to it.

You made a good point, may be it will be Jesse returning instead of Soloman. How's that for karma? Noah beated him with a weak ass submission but pussyboy Noah quit for a girl, letting the man he beated come back to the show.

Another good point about Matt. You got xray and it came back negative. Why do you need 3-4 days rest and expect members to pamper you like they're your housekeeper? WTF?

I agree with all the points mentioned so far. It was kind of lame to have no fight. That is the main reason I tune in to the show. Still a great show though.

Some random thoughts:

1) I thought Solomon was a middleweight, while Noah is a light heavyweight. If they bring someone back to even the schedule, it would more than likely be a light heavyweight. That would mean either Christain or Jesse.

2) What ever happened to the legendary "lion's den" work-outs Shamrock was famous for ?? On the surface it seems like his heart isn't in it, while Tito is taking the challenge full force. He definitely seems like he's giving more of himself (even going as far as cooking for the guys and everything).

3) Is the Ortiz vs. Shamrock fight going to be pay-per-view, or on the season finale ??

4) Loved how Dana White basically called out Noah for leaving over a women (whom he's only dated 6 monthes). Great stuff.

But with Matt Hughes, he may have came off like an ass, but even still he was training his guys pretty hard.

It totally agree with your second point. One half of "team dagger" blaming Shamrock on his lack of cardio didn't make sense to me. You don't just fall out of shape in 3-5 weeks. I always thought the whole point of this show (and MMA training) was to train under different coaches so that a fighter can get as much information from different styles and view points. And that this show was just an extension of that, only with the carrot of a "six figure contract" hanging in front of them.

Like in season two Jorge was a coach with Rich Franklin's camp but a competitor on this show. He was obviously ready to go, even though he lost.

Jhost doesn't Dana always come off pretty cool? I don't know what it is, but I can't help but like the guy.
