Quote: I thought it was a really good plan on Shane's part. When Claudette took a look at the carnage, she immediately told DutchPimp to go after Gardo(?).

The thing is though, I can't see how they could spin it that the El Salvadoreans were able to locate Lem when the entire LAPD couldn't find him.
That's exactly it, they can't. Unlike before, Shane is pretty much twisting in the wind on this one. Not only is Dutch going to be all over it (although between playing pimp to Tina and dealing with Billings as a partner, who knows how much he'll actually get done), but Vic is going to be busting the head of every El Salvadoran that he finds to try and find out who did it. Shane can't exactly go to Vic for help with steering the investigations away from him or anything, so I can definitely see things getting worse for him if they can't pin it on a patsy.

That was one of the most intense & emotional moments I've seen on TV... WOW!

I'm of the belief that Shane had no choice & did what had to be done. They gave Lem an out with Mexico, and were obviously planning of setting him up & taking care of him for the long run... Unlike Gillroy, which Lem was comparing it to. But he still wasn't going to go for it, which leaves too many to chance... Witness Protection? He'd have to give the team up... A new deal? He'd have to admit that he pulled the Money Train job, which would open up a lot of questions (since it was obviously not a 1 man job)...

Could Vic have talked him into Mexico if he was there? Maybe... But maybe not... And if he couldn't there's no way in hell that Vic would be able to pull the trigger on Lem... And he would have stopped Shane from doing it as well. Look at the mercy he showed Gillroy when Shane was ready to kill him...

Shane made a choice from his gut... And despite how tragic and hurtfull the outcome is, I think he made the right choice...

Now all he has to do is wash his hands of this, and keep them clean...

Fucking tremendous ending!!! Great show all the way through... And I can't wait for the next wave of episodes...

Quote: That episode helps cement just how mentally ill Dutch really is. First he kills a cat because a serial killer tells him about the thrill of killing an animal, now a pimp tells him how to take advantage of women and he does that also. He's a good detective, but a very sick man.
Don't forget he also turned in a laptop with kiddie porn on it back in the first season.

Did anyone realize the Westwood Ho was played by Ally "The Profiler" Walker?

True Story

My father is the Executive Director of our local Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The agent/manager of Benito Martinez who plays Acevada told my dad he should invite Benito to be a guest speaker at the Chamber's annual banquet. My dad told the agent he wasn't going to invite a guy that gave another guy head on tv. The agent said it was just a part on a tv show, but my dad said he didn't care. I was laughing so hard after hearing that.

That is some serious ass machismo right there.

Whoa! I thought she looked familiar!

Ally looked pretty rough on E.R. last month in the James Woods episode, too.

The one thing that I noticed about this whole hand grenade scenario is this:
Next season when Vic is getting interrogated or interviewed about Shanes murder he will find out that it was only he and Ronnie that were tailed.. Vic will then know that Shane lied when he said that it took him all that time because he had to "lose his tail"

The attorney....great hooters.. talking about the park scene

Is Vic the father of Dannis' child as well as the informants?
Damn, he is banging everyone. He should be giving Dutch tips.

the pimp banging his "ho" in the room was great.

Yeah, rape victims should be shunned.

Danny's? Yes. While they didn't come completely out and have her say "Vic, this is your kid", you could tell he knew, and she pretty much gave it away when she told him that she'd tell the kid when he asked once he got older.

The informant? Emolia? They've never even hinted that her kid was Vic's. As a matter of fact, when they met back during the fourth season, Sebastian was already out and about.

Speaking of which...

Quote: as for vik...he needs to find his ass into a convienience store and buy soem damn rubbers...hes now got 3 bastard children!
Huh? Danny's is a definite, and I'm guessing that you're referring to Emolia's kid as number 2, but 3? If you're referring to Connie's (the prostitute from the first season) kid, then they never mentioned who the father was.

Check out Mulholland Drive and you'll get to see them in all of their glory(and a few years younger to boot).

No, no. I don't believe that. The point of that scene was to leave the fatherhood ambiguous still. Neither Vic nor Danny explicitly said it was "their" kid. Danny wasn't confirming or denying anything in that scene. Nothing indicates that it was Vic's kid. The fact that Danny will tell the child who his father is when he gets older means just that: she'll tell him when he gets older. That doesn't necessarily mean the child is Vic's. It could still be anyone's at this point.

Who's middle name is "Lee", anyway?

Especially by homophobes.

How very proud I'd be.

I don't think it was ambiguous. The looks she gave Vic, and that he gave back, said it all.

Not that it's determinative, but the show description said "Danny confronts the father of her child." While I think it was pretty clear that Vic's the father, I wouldn't go so far as to call that much of a confrontation...

ok, emolia's is obviously viks given that she said "im surprised youre not saying anythign to shane" or somethign to that nature, when shane bashed the child...given her being an informant and some pieceof trash who vik happens to support n stick up for, im betting the same thing happened to connies...look at the pattern!

hahaha funny...what makes me laugh even more are the people on the thread who no think ur dads a homophobe...wtf people lighten up...clearly a professional group does not want to associate with anyone, gay or not, who performs oral sex on someone on tv...let a lone an actor playing a controversial figure for a Chamber group to have has a speaker!

I agree.

I think The Shield writers are really above a 'let's go into a storyline about who could be the father to Danni's baby?' Besides Vic, who possibly could be the father that wouldn't require some stupid out of the blue, soap opera revelation?

LOVED the finale last night. It still kills me to say this because I love the show so much, but having it go out on top after these next 10 episodes it truly the thing that should be done.

Yeah, she said something like "are you gonna let him talk about Sebastian like that?". But Vic has two kids with special needs. I think she knew about them and thought Vic would take offense to the "retard" comment. I don't think Vic had any relationship with her before the incident with Lem and the heroin.

By the way, is there a link to the information about this season being spit? I couldn't find it on the FX page and I don't remember seeing any previews eluding to that fact. Thanks in advance.

Shawn Ryan did a interview (link is in last week's thread I think), and mentioned that they split the season and will start shooting in April. Based on the way they feel after the first 6 (out of 10) episodes will deside whether or not they'll continue past this season. His big point that has always been mentioned is, "Going out on top." After last night I feel these next 10 will bring the series to a nice close "On Top." As much as I'd hate to see it go, I'd hate it more if it became another "Jump The Shark" show...

There was also mention in the interview that the new episodes would start airing late 2006 - early '07, based on the network's schedule.

What? Why say anything at all? No, that's pretty definitive - it's Vic's.

Sebastio is NOT Vic's. HS is exactly right - it's about the connection Sebastio and Vic had, not about him being the father.

Quote: The only thing I can see Kavanaugh getting on Shane is some finger prints on Lem's car. If they can prove that they are fresh, they can get for aiding and embedding a known crimal. But again, I don't know if that is something one car prove.
I watched that scene again and it appears that Shane was wearing gloves when he handed Lem the sandwich.

I realized it was her while watching the rerun. I just suddenly said "hey, it's the chick reporter from Universal Soldier."
