I wasnt aware that LaPaglia had an accent but I know two of his costars to which are both good.
I'd vote for Bamber on Galactica.

West has the perfect Baltimore accent. I didn't know he was British until after I saw him in the Wire, Chicago, and Mona Lisa Smile. So when I finally heard him speak with a British accent, I thought it was a joke.

These are the 2 I thought of as well. Knowing this makes it that much funnier on the episode that McNutty has to fake an English accent. Elba does awesome job, never knew he was not American until I listened to the coomentary of the wire. Oddly enough in the Wire, the scar on Omar's face is real.

I know the show's defunct now, but my choice would be Rachel Griffiths from Six Feet Under.

This is really no contest. Jamie Bamber has a 100% perfect American accent.

How about Marianne Jean-Baptiste (England) on Without a Trace? She sounds like one of the Bowery Boys with her "Brooklyn" accent.

I agree. Great accents. Also, don't forget Eamonn Walker (Kareem Said) from Oz. I first saw hin playing "Marigold", the gay home help in "In Sickness And In Health". Great actor.

I voted for Hugh Laurie, but she was the second person to spring to mind.

I voted for Jaime Bamber-- I had no clue he was English. Hugh Laurie has a good accent, but something doesn't sit quite right with me about it. Julian McMahon still has a light accent a lot of the time.

I voted for Jamie Bamber.... finding out he was british was a shock for me.

Dominic West from 'The Wire' would have been an excellent option for the poll.

I can't even consider Hugh Laurie as I have been watching his English comedy stuff for years, while I just started watching House this current season. I love Hugh Laurie in Blackadder, especially series 3.
