I thought this was a huge improvement over the pilot since there were actual laughs to be found, even if those laughs basically kept referencing the same thing. For whatever reason, those flashbacks to Guy running and Andy's reaction to what the women were saying just cracked me up.

agreed, this episode was much better even if it did reuse the same joke a number of times. Guy Halverson running in slo-mo complete with giant ham sandwich in hand

wow, if this episode was better than the pilot, I'm glad I missed it.
while funny at times, I thought to myself "there is no way this is going to be a hit" what is NBC thinking? or hoping?
Tony Hale's stuff with the secretary was great.
and like others have said, the flashbacks to Guy with his sandwich. good stuff.
I sort of hope it sticks around for awhile. There's something about it...

Saw it for the first time and really liked it. It seemed a bit off at times and I hate the bitch playing his wife, but ill tune in next time, Hopefully they keep the show.

I've been amused by both episodes.

The second episode was much better than the pilot especially the scenes with Tony Hale and the black secretary.

THREE kinds of ham at that!

I really enjoyed the second ep. Then again, I liked the pilot as well. I'm glad there are at least six of these.

Do those of you who miss 30 Rock and think this is terrible remember how bad the first couple episodes of 30 Rock were? I think there is hope for this series yet (at least as long as the ratings are decent -- I haven't checked).

If the third episode improves on the second as much as the second did the first (and so on), this will be a good show. I just wonder if it'll be around long enough.

Finally caught an episode. Not sure cronologically which one... the one with the heart attack fat guy. I liked it. has potential as the characters develop. I'll watch again.

I just worry that some of the jokes in this show will be a problem because they won't also advance the plot. When its only a 30-minute show (22 mins with commercials), you don't really have a lot of time for extraneous comedy.
The guy running with the sandwich was funny because it came up when Andy was trying to imagine a woman being attracted to him. The Tony Hale "Jungle Fever" jokes, though funny, didn't add to the main plot.

Hmm, almost a day after the most recent airing and no comments ...
I thought this episode continued the trend of improvement, although the show's lack of laugh-out-loud moments is probably hurting it. There was plenty that I enjoyed:
Harve Presnell was terrific, stealing all of his scenes (as usual).
A great absurd joke was the chicken flying into Andy's face, making you think it was pecking his eyes out, but revealed to be just flapping its wings to no ill effect.
Andy's wife having trouble pronouncing "Wally" as if it were some exotic foreign name.
Simon exiting the car via the window instead of just opening the door.
More absurdity with inspector 78 trying to shoot Andy with a 200 year old antique pistol.
Where was Nicolle? This episode must have been shown out-of-order.
Again, I like this show a lot. I hope NBC can find a place for it next year but it may be too droll to find a large enough audience.
