Survivor is the first and only one of these i will be watching.

Looks like a DVD night to me. IMHO, this is one of the worst nights of weeknight TV in awhile.

Ditto. The only Thursday night programs I watch are My Name Is Earl and The Office.

Also: There's a Skating with the Stars now? Jesus Christ.

I'll watch the Figure Skating, and bits and pieces of the other stuff at the Olympics. Not interested in any of the others.

ditto, although the fact that 2 locals are on tv tonight (Stacey from dancing with the stars) and one of the american skaters) makes it possible that i might watch something tonight.

None of the above. I'll PVR all of them (except for Idol ), although I'll probably have the 2nd TV on Olympics or the Villanova/Cincy game.


edit: I forgot - ESPN is sure to spoil the results so having the Nova game on is a no-no.

i wish NBC would post a listing of times that events would air. (i don't really want to record 4 hours of olympic coverage, just for one event.
For the skating, do they go in order of rank, or is it random?

Sorry to be a downer, but another vote for *nothing*. This has to be the worst sweeps period in TV history. All reality junk.

Acc'd to their schedule on their site (which they break into 30-min blocks), it will be all figure skating from 10-midnight.

The ordering is a mix of rank and random. Skaters who qualified for the long program are placed in groups of 6. The skaters in the bottom group skate first and top group skates last. Within each group of 6, the order is random. That's why Cohen is skating 5th to last while Slutskaya is skating last. I think Meissner is 2nd to last.

As such, I doubt the final group will be aired anytime before 11 pm.

Survivor is currently in the lead in the poll, but when the ratings come out it will probably be in last.

I don't think you need to, but don't blame me if you somehow miss something. There will be some figure skating in the first 2 hours, but it should just be also-rans.

It should only take me about 45-50 minutes to get through Dancing with the Stars. There will be so much filler there.

Now that I think about it, I'll probably just watch Survivor live and have the Olympics on the 2nd TV. Then at 9, start watching the Dancing recording. I'll finish that by 10.
