What will you watch LIVE tonight 2/23

All they kept talking about on the news is how tonight is packed with stuff to watch.

Which show will you watch live? If you are going to Tivo everything, pick which you will watch first.

Chew 02-23-06 08:34 AM

I was looking at my TiVo "to do" list this morning and there isn't a single thing I'm recording tonight.

Guess I can't enter a poll answer.

Yeah I should have put a "Nothing" option... sorry. I won't be watching any of that either. That's why I was wondering what people would really be tuning in to.

I'll probably stagger the Olympics with Survivor first and then Dancing with the Stars. There's maybe 35 minutes max of actual new material in a Survivor episode, so I'll burn through it pretty quickly. Technically, the first minutes will probably be the Olympics, so I'll vote for that.

I'm a rabid Olympics junkie, and I'm ready for the high drama of the big medal skate off tonight.

As long as I can avoid any news spoilers today, I'll be in good shape....

I don't watch Survivor, Dancing with the Stars or American Idol, so it's sort of a moot point.

Mordred 02-23-06 08:49 AM

I won't be watching the skating (except for Cohen just to see if she wins gold) but we're TiVoing that. I don't watch any of the other shows.

RobCA 02-23-06 08:50 AM

None of the above

I have a meeting tonight, so here's my set-up for this evening:
TiVo Tuner One: Survivor
TiVo Tuner Two: Dancing with the Stars
Live on upstairs TV: American Idol
Late night rebroadcast on TiVo: Olympics
When I get home, my wife'll tell me who got voted out and then I'll watch Survivor and get to the other stuff when I can.

FantasticVSDoom 02-23-06 09:07 AM

Just AI for me, and then probably just the last couple of minutes to see who actually got booted.

Charlie Goose 02-23-06 09:13 AM

American Idol.

I couldn't care less about the Olympics or Dancing With the Stars, and I've never seen ten seconds of Survivor.

GuessWho 02-23-06 09:15 AM

I see no use for Dancing with the Stars tonight as the performances will probably just be rerun on Sunday

I'll be DVR juggling Idol, Survivor and the Olympics

Sweet Baby James 02-23-06 09:17 AM

Dancing with the Stars in hope of a wardrobe malfunction for Stacy.-pray-

Y2K Falcon 02-23-06 09:20 AM

I'm assuming that the skating will all be in the last hour (well, I don't care to see the performance for 6th place), so we'll probably just check out already tivoed/backlogged stuff, then watch the last hour of Olympic coverage live in HD.

I'm already a couple episodes behind on AI, I need to catch up.

ChrisHicks 02-23-06 09:21 AM

LIVE?

I'll tivo AI and Survivor and start Survivor around 8:30 and then watch AI afterwards.

Ditto to that.

I'll finish "thumbsucker" which I started a few nights ago, then at 8:30 tune into Survivor, then Roll over to the Idol results show which will be DVR'd, and then finally start watching some skating , If I don't catch the results beforehand.

Exactly!

I don't watch anything live. Usually after dinner, we'll watch the previous night's Daily Show & Colbert Report, and by then it's usually 8:30 or so and I can start watching whatever the Tivo has got going.

I'll probably watch AI before Survivor as I am more interested in who gets voted off AI at this point.

I don't watch the Dancing or Skating shows.

tommyp007 02-23-06 10:21 AM

Wife is going out of town, and we always watch our show together, so...

DVR American idol
DVR Survivor
VCR Dancing With The Stars

I'll watch the Olympics.

Bronkster 02-23-06 10:32 AM

Not a darn thing (where's the poll option??!!!) :)

I don't either.

I will watch some Olympics tonight but *not* live. I'll record it so that later I can zip past events I don't care so much about and mostly the commercials. If I see one more commercial with stupid SUV's busting through snow, I will shoot out my TV screen.

While the Olympics are recording I'll watch something else off the DVR. Still have Lost, some 24, an NCIS and other stuff to get to. :)

So to answer the question...nothing live.

onebyone 02-23-06 10:38 AM

Live, I will have to go with Dancing with the Stars. I mean, it's the finale. I will DVR American Idol and the Skating for later, and I am not sure what to do with the Olympics. I want to see the ladies. I hate having Idol and Dancing with the Stars against each other.

"Our top story tonight: there's a lot of good TV this evening."

raven56706 02-23-06 10:48 AM

Playboy's Night Calls live

tonyc3742 02-23-06 11:08 AM

None of the above.
A. I don't watch live tv anymore.
B. I detest despise and hate "reality" shows or "look! famous people doing stuff!" shows
C. I don't care for sports.

Wasn't American Idol on last night? And the night before? I don't necessarily want to go back to to days of 'winter/spring - new shows, summer - reruns', but I also don't like the current fads of 'double shots', multiple 'encore presentations' soon after initial showing, and multi-night programs [except for things like miniseries/tv movies].

Big Worms 02-23-06 11:10 AM

Nothing. My Name is Earl and Office is not on tonight.
